I have monthly membership to WA. Payments come up on the 16th of each month. I decided to leave WA and have my site hosted elsewhere and then it would be managed by a webmaster

This could be a timing thing, Alister, although your payment comes out on the 16th it seems you actually joined on the 11th, maybe the timing was a little array

Maybe. They claim the 13th but I pay on the 16th. I am confused.

my argument would be you have been using the service after the 16th, so the monies payed for this month stand.
i don't like the exit procedure here, but maybe -as long as next month you don't get charged - then carry on with the new hosting.
i don't think you will recommend this patform after the treatment you have got, and that is a shame as it is good, safe training for starters.
but i hope you get it sorted ammicably Alister.
and good luck for the future.
phil

Actually except for this attempt to communicate I haven't been using the services. My website is on another platform and my e-mail doesn't work any more so really I had no intention of using any of the services.

you have asked about the exit before, i remember it. but as you say if you are not using it then why should you be charged as long as you have checked the don't bill me box you should be fine now.

Sorry but like with any subscription based service it's up to you to make sure your subscription is cancelled prior to the money coming out, which can be done via account settings.

Mistakes happen, but if Kyle has confirmed that no future payments will be taken then at least it sounds like you'll be sorted from here onwards.

I went to my accounts setting and ticked the appropriate box.before the due date. My webmaster was sitting beside me when I did it!

Okay well I'm afraid either way it's an issue that must be sorted out with Kyle or Carson directly as we are all just members here exactly like yourself and cannot access anything to do with other members' billing.

I understand that, but I am not getting a very coherent response from Kyle. That's why I have reverted to this forum. I feel if I am seen to be making a bit of a fuss somebody might listen to me.

Hi Alister.
I really cannot add any help.

I cannot see that WA would not be up front and also cannot see a circumstance where they would try to avoid issuing a refund that is due, to me it does not seem to fit with the positive experience I have had here at WA.

I wish you all the best in your future online endeavours

Kind Regards
Mike

I don't want to go into the reasons but I find I simply don't have time to develop the site and write quality posts in a way that serves my business so intend handing it over

Ask people here to help you as admin. Add them to your site, and ask them to finetune to your likes...

If you considder outsourcing forget wordpress, too much maintenance

It is good advice from Phil, but failing that click on your profile log, go to account setings>>subscription settings>>>Membership>>>stop billing and cancel membership

but if he wants to continue with his site via a webmaster , he will need hosting, so how is stopping billing going to get him hosting?

I have got hosting elsewhere. I don't need a plethora of sites. I want to create quality material on a regular basis which I can use to motivate my coaching clients.

in that case - if you have a site hosted here, move the hosting there. change the namservers to your other hosting.
make a backup first, just in case anything happens.
make sure it is ok
cancel your membership here as Gordon says.
as i said elsewhere create a new admin user account or other level and pass those details onto your webmaster.
and they will be able to log in and create content for you.
make sure you regularily check what is being created and it is going in the direction you want.
good luck
phil

Great Advice from Phil,

Long term WA offers huge potential.

Mike

set the webmaster up as a administrator, if you trust them that much, on your site.
then give them the log in details for that user on your site.
they will have complete access to all of your site, but not your wa account.
they will be able to develop your site as an administrator, or add content if you add them at a lower level.
if you carry on paying for wa as hosting then you can add more sites onvce that one is successful.
good luck
phil

I am on Lesson three segment 8. It asks us to add Adsense to our site. I applied the text etc but Adsense has refused my application. What are the alternatives?

As others have said, Adsense and other ad networks won't make you much unless you have a lot of traffic. But can be a great way to earn a few cents to get you motivated!

I would continue on with the training and writing content, but if you'd like to give another ad network a try do

https://www.media.net/

It's the ad network for Yahoo & Bing.

Don't take a lot of time to apply but if you find time it's an alternative.

Brok

Thanks.

I personally don't use Adsense. I would just move forward with your lessons for now. Add more content to your site and reapply again in the future if you so desire.

Personally, I never applied to Adsense because I really don't want my site cluttered up with their ads.

I got turned down repeatedly. Then after reading the problems people have, I decided not to bother with them.

Same way here. They denied me over and over. I reapplied a few weeks ago and was accepted. But checking my site, I have seen ads on it only a few times. Not everytime I sign in. Don't know what is up with them.

Sonny

Hi - they expect to see a well-established site, with daily traffic and at least 30 posts. To be honest, we are asked to join Adsense too early in my opinion.

I was refused by adsense too without obvious reason, but I keep on going onward.

Just move onwards. Adsense doesn't pay that much anyway. When your site has grown you can try again.

Cheers.

Edwin

I have just written a review of my book "A Cat Has Nine Lives" on my blog on topwellnessconsultant.com. Is it OK to post some of the reviews I have had on Amazon below the arti

I think it is a great question, also I do not think we are allowed to share the website this way at Wealthy Affiliate. I think you can when requesting site feedback, and I don't believe you're trying to spam. I just care about your success, and I do not want you to get blocked like I did when I first started here by accidently not following a rule of some sort I did not know what exactly I did wrong.
To answer your question, yes the reviews are a great testimonial. You can link into the comments a review you'd like to refer to. Just copy it, then paste it into the comment and explain the social proof. There are other ways to do that, but you've got the right idea. If you're converned about Google flagging duplicate content, the link idea may be preferable. I think you can also use site support to get these questions answered and someone can ask for the link of your site. With just posting it can be construed as SPAM. I hope my note finds you well!
Kind Regards,
Nurse Becca

Amazon will penalize you. Your associate account may get banned because you violated their rules.

Even if the reviews are of a book I have written?

https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/help/operating/policies

6. Content on your Site
(t) You will not display or otherwise use any of our customer reviews or star ratings, in part or in whole, on your Site unless you have obtained a link to that customer review or star rating through PA API and you comply with the requirements for PA API described in the License.

Your account may get banned because of any very small issue. There are so many banned cases happen before. I'm the one who gets banned before.

The other accounts are still alive even they break a lot of rules but it doesn't mean you can alive if do the same things.

If the associate account is get banned, you have to reapply again and change all the affiliate like. That is a huge work.

Hope it help.

I don't think you understand. I wrote the book and they pay me royalties on each copy they sell. This has nothing to do with an affiliate link. I am trying to increase sales of the book and thus increase my royalty payments. This is nothing to do with an affiliate link.

Sorry, I think you have posted your affiliate link in your blog to increase the sale.

I have read the guide by Google that talks about the copy content in very details. But, I lose the link.

The section I most concentrate is talking about the copy content.

I will keep finding the guide for you.

The only things I know is to keep the copy content as less as you can.

You can definitely refer to the reviews on Amazon and also make a reference to where you found them
