Hi everyone, Happy New Year. Somebody gave me feedback to say the main body of my text was too light and they had difficulty reading it. When I try to change the colour some pa

Depending on your theme this should be able to be edited/changed in "Appearance">>> "Customizer" under "Typography" Hope this helps!

Thanks for taking the time to answer, I think I have got what I need now. Fingers crossed.

You have an icon on your editor toolbar (Classic Editor) that will allow you to change the color of the selected text ...

See the screenshot

Thanks for your help. Its a bit more complex than that but I think I have the answer I need now.

That's a fun one. Different types of text can be changed with color codes. The hard part is to get it to do so everywhere you want it to. For example, my theme has a module for text colors and covers almost all of the text pieces in my site.

I'm sure you can accomplish it via CSS but I'm not a CSS guy so I can't give you the how-to on it. That said, here are some how-to's provided by the community: There are also plugins to take care of such things but I don't know which one is the best so you'll have to do some research.

I hope this helps.

Thanks so much for your detailed response. There is lots for me to look at and hopefully all will help, either now or later on in my learning. Its all these tricky things that give you the thorough detail about building websites, thanks so much for your help.

Hi I'm struggling with laying out pages, I want to put pictures with inspirational quotes on but not on the same page, any ideas how I do this or any suggestions where I can fi

There are many ways to structure a page and website. I'm not exactly sure what your plan is, but this is a popular way to organize pages and posts: As a side note, I want to add that publishing inspirational quotes to your website, just as-is, likely won't lead to much traffic or money generation. You can absolutely do what you want with your personal website and business, but just wanted to give you a heads up that you'll want to give more context, or creatively integrate those quotes into a keyword-optimized post (like Kyle teaches) if you want this type of content to generate traffic for your website.

Hi Nathaniell, thanks for getting back to me, I'm still struggling about what I need, not sure the category page is it. Sometimes I just find it takes a long time to find one simple thing that I need, which holds me back on developing my web site and moving forward in the speed I would like.
My intention is not to just post one inspirational quote but to kind of catalogue them under one sub heading, so they can be flicked through. This is only one small part of my site, there is other key optimized posts that will make up the bulk.
Thanks for offering your input.
All the best
Ali

There are many plugins that can create custom designs for your website. Some are free, some are paid. Maybe an image gallery plugin would work for you, as long as you place the quotes on an image.

Canva is a great way to do this:

Hi just wondered how you guys structure your week? I am trying to work on the most efficient way to blog, write and share comments and give and receive social media support, an

Thanks for the follow.

Hi Ali, Welcome to WA. My plan is to have a number of periods or blocks on a sheet divided up for each day, with what I need to achieve. It does not always work, but the theory is good. You could always try trello, as it has boards and things that you can plan on.

Thanks for your suggestions, I know things happen but I like your theory and will check out trello. Thanks for giving me your time.

Everyday is a new day for me. Based on how I feel, I may write a blog or engage with WA reading blogs and responding to questions if I can. I am retired so this is more of a hobby than a business that I want to rely on for my only source of income.

That is a great outlook, I want to have a balance between structure and spontaneity, to keep me fresh and motivated.Thank you

I set daily goals for myself, I have days of the week I write content, days I do training, etc. I try to do comments and social media daily.

I do too, but as I begin to create more of a following, I am beginning to have to look at how much time I give to each activity. Thanks for your input.
