My favorite e-mail ever :)
For the past 6 years I've been receiving these cool e-mails from Wealthy Affiliate with a subject:
Congratulations! A New WA Commission
I really enjoy these e-mails especially the ones that state my commission is 14$ (current WA commission per sale is $22.50). Why am I happy to see the 14$? Because this was the amount paid out to WA affiliates in 2007 and 2008 (if I remember correctly) before the price went up, which means I have been getting this commission for the past 5-6 years! Every single month! How cool is that?
Every 14$ commission I earned in the past isn't really 14$, it's about $1,000 worth at this point... and i love it.
The recurring commission is another great reason to promote WA (besides all the main reasons, ex; WA is simply awesome). There aren't many things you can promote for a recurring paycheck but WA is one of them and it's a really awesome thing to promote and tell your friends about.
Well, I'll end my rant here, now go and promote the heck out of WA, make some money ;)

I guess forum died out because the current system kind of replaces it... and the LIVE chat took a bit part of the forum (people asking questions live instead of posting on a forum and waiting for a reply) but yeah, I am still alive and kicking ;)
These emails make my day especially when you get a couple of them a day like I have got before. It definitely puts a smile on your face and give you a reason to keep moving forward. I'm not sure what the $14 ones are though would you mind explaining those? It looks like you got one yesterday. The only ones I get are the $8 ones, the $22.50 ones and the $175 ones which are really nice.
I think it's explained in the first paragraph what the $14 ones are. When WA started out they were charging $28/month so affiliates used to get half of that. A $14 commission today means you referred that person before 2008 and they're still here which means that $14 is a fraction of the hundreds of dollars you've earned from that one customer.
Oh OK so if you joined back when the prices were $28 you would still pay the same thing today. I wasn't thinking about that I just know what the prices are today thanks for clearing that up Jay. I guess the price you pay when you first joined stays the same it doesn't matter if the price goes up or not. I have only been here since 2012 so anything that went on before that I don't know anything about it. That is pretty awesome that they have stuck with it that long.

Definitely. You get "grandfathered in" at the price you started with if there's a price increase. So if you joined back in 2007 then you'd still pay the old price even today.
That's when someone upgrades from Starter to premium within their first 7 days of joining WA. They get it for $19. It's a new sale meaning it could potentially be worth $1000 as you put it.
They are definitely very cool to get. Nice to see that you have continued to grow your income here. A great encouragement for the rest of us. Thanks for sharing.

So far I have had one person upgrade to premium and that email felt fantastic.
