Here is Why I am NOT Reading Your Posts, Questions, etc...
The truth is, most people will not click on anything or read anything that doesn't pique their interest.
Why do you think newspapers use such shocking and intriguing titles? Because people want to read them. You have most likely heard the secret to writing a great blog post or a great sales letter:
"Make Sure Your Title is So Interesting That The Readers Will Want to Read The Subtitle!"
This applies to forums, online communities and even Wealthy Affiliate.
I often notice blog posts and discussions on WA that get significantly less replies than others and I realize that I wouldn't reply either, simply because the title is not clear.
WA is a training center and a community. WA members are happy to answer questions and help others, many WA members are just learning how to write a good title so it's only normal that many blog post titles or discussions do not pique our interest. However, the questions with least replies are those that do not contain any information or details in the title.
Examples:
- Help me...
- How do I...
- Problem
- Is it just me?
- ...
If you want more people to participate in your discussion or to read your content - make your your title will get them to do it! If you have a question and post in on WA, try this:
- Help me with Wordpress header
- How Do I create a link
- Problem Logging into my website
- Is it just me or is Amazon down for everyone?
Add more details, be more specific - these details will make it easier for other members to help you, to read your stuff and to comment on your blog. If someone is an expert on Wordpress - he(she) will be more motivated to answer your question when you title specifies the question is about Wordpress. If you are writing a blog post and sharing tips on how to do keyword research, make sure your title demonstrates that your post is about keyword research and it will attract more people.
Grab my attention!
Thanks for reading ;)

Great ideas. A few I like are:
--How to do "something" and "list a benefit"
--using lists: "5 tips to..."
I really like how you've captured what visitors will type in when they do a search. That's who we are writing for and providing help to. Thanks for this.
