Wow What a year of New
A child's world is one big adventure of learning new stuff; I get the kite flying and hand the line to the little guy, the share exhilaration of hanging on to this thing way up in the sky leads to a sensory explosion. Somewhere along the path, we lose that sense of adventure as we slowly slide into our day to day living.
The year of new Part 1
This year of new has been the wake-up call that many of us needed. It can be so easy to fall into sameness without even realizing that you have. Every age has a different stage; life has a natural order, and hard as we try, no one escapes.
Reflecting, who would have guessed that something so small, invisible, and with a simplistic need would have such far-reaching consequences to our normalized lives.
Then again, were our lives ever really ordinary?
There are two paths, the ordinary and the road less traveled; it is the choices that we make that bring vibrancy and create the dynamics to our world. This year has been no exception! Try as you might to avoid it, new would have come looking for you; we may not have wanted to open the door. Unfortunately, that has not been an option.
No matter the field, it is a time for reflection and observation. One of the best places to start is with your heartbeat and the breaths that you take; they are the drivers of your world.
We are online; that is our world. Most people go online for entertainment and cocooning from the rigors of their lives; some intrepid explorers go online to generate an income to create a lifestyle removed from the traditional. Like much in life, there are buyers and sellers; is the grass greener on the other side?
Yes.
In a year of new, that proposition has been amplified to an extraordinary degree.
What has been exposed is that many businesses are online; however, they are not exploiting or developing their online presence, not working it to leverage their business and generate better outcomes.
People hit what could be described as techno overload, freeze or freeze out, and standstill. Like our brains, we use a fraction, and technology is the same. We tend to use as much as we need, no more, no less.
Trending more than a few are searching for alternative ways of generating an income, and so many more are searching for ways to up skill. The anxiousness wrought by this kind of new can be challenging. New has brought with it enforced change; many can find it hard to adapt.
Some industries, lifestyles, workloads have gone into hibernation.
There is only one way to go, and that is hard out.
If you stop and look around, life has gone into slow motion; at times like this, one of the best things we can do is cling to our goals and aspirations and dig it in and double our efforts. I know that it can be hard to reach that point. It can be a conscious choice, and once there, your productivity will amaze you.
I was speaking from experience there. Initially, there were some significant setbacks; ouch, looking around, many had taken the foot off of their accelerators. Adopting what could be said was a wait and see approach.
2021 The Year of New Part 2
New is a golden opportunity to create some excellent outcomes. The coming year 2021 will be the year of new. If you are developing strategies and making plans, double up, you won't regret it.
I don't know about you, but I am getting excited about the coming year. Even with all the strife circling around, we are well placed to make significant gains.

To use soft words, this 2020 has been an unusual year.
What we thought was normal, set, and secure suddenly changed and our known world was in upheaval.
Or you adapt, or you don't but both choices have consequences.
I do hope our new world will be better with a fairer system and equal opportunities for everybody.We will have to work together to make that happen, I hope, but am not sure yet it will.

Hello Taetske, and compliments of the season.
It has been a challenging year, as we face so many new things. It has been a case of adapting to what confronts us.
It appears that we have a wonderful opportunity to reset on a global scale, unfortunately so many of the existing models are entrenched so it will be hard to shift them.
I have been thinking a lot about this of late, I to hope that change does happen, as individuals we can contribute by creating change on our individual levels and daily lives.

The holidays are nearly here and we are running here and there paying brief visits to friends as the authorities lifted the lockdown.
I am sure there will be big shifts. Hopefully, it will be in the benefit of the people.

Hi Joe, yes just thinking about things, we are all experiencing new things to varying degrees. As marketers, it can be about adjusting and adapting. There will be so many new opportunities to explore.

How true that many people use only what they need Alex, whether it's brainpower, language, technology or physical ability.
It's incredible to see how many people are living in slow motion which creates, as you say, a golden opportunity to create some excellent outcomes.

Yes from observation it appears that many are kind of stuck in a situation, we are fortunate to be exposed to a different way of operating and the opportunity that this brings.
The coming year will have many challenges, like all new things, there will be opportunities that go along with that.
