A Timely Meeting

I had a meeting yesterday in the city; it was late afternoon; traffic was crazy in that dash from the country into the city, hitting several road works that were controlled by out-of-sync traffic lights that took several days to change from red to green.

He arrives late, driving in, visualizing that car park sitting empty right outside the building, as you do, bingo, gets changed on the sidewalk, runs across the street up the stairs, arrives barefoot, putting shoes on in reception.

I am painting a picture of a disorganized person or a busy person on the run ( that's getting things done, lol ). It was one of those productive meetings where you feel that you could pay the person their fee triple it, and you would still be getting a bargain.

I don't know if you have experienced this in your online journey or possibly even in life, but sometimes you get to that point when something happens, or some days where things happen and everything just goes boom.

What was I thinking? Not the right stuff, obviously!

Not necessarily; you kind of know it yet don't; you sort of feel it, but yet you don't. Things are sort of there, yet they are not. All it takes is that one thing, and everything falls into place. Awesome when it happens; of course, it isn't spontaneous; there can be months and even years of build-up to that point.

All the interactions add a piece to your puzzle and help you build that big picture. Big picture thinking is where it's at, developing that overview of what you are doing and where you are heading. When I say big picture, it doesn't have to be the big picture; it is helpful if it is your big picture.

One of the coolest things about WA is that it can be your piece of the "puzzling big picture builder." We can take it for granted, get so used to connecting that we miss the value. I had an engaging experience last week; for a while, notifications had slowed to a trickle, so I thought I would turn them off and then turn them back on as a way to refresh. To my surprise, the flow stopped. It was a strange feeling; I logged in when I Joined WA and never logged out, so not to get any was a new experience. I had to reinvent and log in to the main dashboard; it gave a different perspective of the WA platform, if that makes sense; I have been accessing WA through email notifications for years. It was like accessing another platform.

Anchor Point.

For me, WA is an anchor point; in the online world, we need anchor points, where there is security and a constant. No matter what is happening in the wider online flow, I have access to a continuous. Obviously, there is an ebb and flow just as people come and go and return, and our journeys take those twists and turns.

You would have to agree Wealthy Affiliate is pretty much running on an even keel. It is a living, breathing thing that finds its own level, and in such, we can level up and hitch our wagons. That can be hugely empowering.

A little confession;

I had taken WA for granted; it was always there, living on my phone, and, in a way, a kind of staleness had crept in; you may relate. You get so busy being busy; "you miss the marketing pillars for the posts in your blogging sphere." I asked Google ;

"how do you develop the big picture?

About 9,000,000,000 results ( 0.50 seconds ).

Wow, that's a good amount of answers as we know there are only ten or so that count or ever get to see the light of day in someone's browser. That is only the start of potential engagement; it's a long-haul flight.

A Reminder.

Last night I was reminded of the powerhouse that we have invested into. I had a domain name resting with a registrar, suffering price creep and sitting in the wings of letting it go; it was the eleventh hour literally. I decided to transfer it to WA, contrary to the brief from the registrar; the whole process took 5 minutes to complete. The functions here are so streamlined we can overlook the complexity and ease of use and miss the value that we have access to—revisiting and looking at the complete list of resources we have at our "Click tips" with renewed vigor.

Sometimes things work together without us realizing it; that has been my case over the last week. Think of it we do genuinely have access to something truly unique; how we leverage that is up to us as individuals. Through doing, we can lose sight of that; the key can be to focus on your life-changing big picture. The simplicity can be just to follow along.

We can make our pictures as big as we want, remembering that our journey is a partnership we have created by signing on with Wealthy Affiliate, where we take it and drive it up to us. From dealing with other platforms over the years, and some are flipping nightmares, there is a perfect opportunity to perfect here with Wealthy Affiliate.

I would love to hear what your big picture is.

Thank you for visiting.

Very good post some of which I can relate to...

I see WA as my online office much as I did when in the insurance industry, you pop in do some admin then go out in the field.

My bigger picture is too share WA with as many bloggers and those wanting to work from home who really do want to be their own boss and not 'affiliates' only... Huge difference between the two

Equally I want to show others how to build in Bootstrap on WordPress because bootstrap removes all the frustration and limitations of paid themes, I've tried both and know which is more fun and lucrative.

Thats my 5 pennies worth.

Hi Dave, glad that you enjoyed this post.

What an excellent point of view; WA is like our online office or command center. We can drop in, do some work collect our thoughts, and forge ahead in the online world.

Finding our place on the wider internet can be key to finding success; I like your view and goals and aspirations.

I am interested in your reflections on bootstrap; I thought you were a Divi man; we all progress and develop as we move forward?

I look forward to hearing about your reflections on Bootstrap.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Much appreciated.

Alex

Glad it helped Alex. As for Divi, I was very into it, as I like all in one options that are affordable, give value for money & make our online work easier.

I started looking at bootstrap around 5 years ago mainly for some ways to add coding for things that my theme/s would not do.

Long story short in my vacation away from here got an email about Thrive, looked at it, discovered I had an account saw it was bootstrap and reactivated it.

As you learn what it does for you the more you understand how websites work and the restrictions of normal paid themes are blown away.

With it the training given here can be implemented from within the WordPress dashboard very easily giving a time saving.

Overall I can't see me changing back from Thrive

Thank you for providing that information; it is always good to drill into why we do what we do. I will check it out.

I like to give reasons why. Another great benefit of Thrive Suite is that it lets you change things at the touch of a button, without any need for theme changes.

It also has a nice affiliate programme, which helps the product sell itself or it has so far in my opinion.

Just get to training and stick to it till "Pau," Hawaiian word for done! Life is crazy,
Atleast I'm understanding things better. I don't know why it took so long to develop any kind of picture of where I'd like to be, except for not understanding this online language stuff. But, now I'm getting it.
Thank you Alex. By you simply asking that question, I am committing to "getting to it".
Thank you Friend,
Suzay

Hi Suzay, good to see you, I think that can be the case. It is one thing to come to the online world another altogether to encompass the online world.

Developing our own big picture can be one of the things that can help to put things into perspective.

It is so true, once we start "getting it" everything starts falling into place.

Thank you for commenting and expressing how you feel.

Alex

Thank you Alex, that made me feel so much better. I can't understand why the things here so many other people understand so easily, come to me via a lot of work. Or maybe because they blast through them, from my perspective, it's easy
Or option three, Fine Art Painting was easy for me, I had to hide the paintings I was really working on while taking basic painting class, those hidden paintings all hung in shows. =Easy. I got 2 paintings in Kona Coffee Festival also.
Math = Easy, Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology + labs, aced them. Dedicated, not easy.
Guess WA stuff will be dedicated, and maybe easier than I thought. Some parts are clicking because of Jay's classes and making it to almost every Friday class.

Thank you again Alex You know the French proverb, the road you take to avoid Fate is the road Fate takes to find you.
Well coming to you today, feels like a healing. I look forward to see what comes of this, but something has changed.
Good to see you as well! Your friend,
Suzay

We all process information differently; Suzay, the forums here in Wa can be great levelers.

Classic quote about fate, one of the saving graces is we have set the path; the journey is all about rediscovering what we have put in place in the first place.

If only one person reads this post and took something from it, then it is totally worth it, looks like you found some value; today is a good day.

Best wishes as you continue to explore, grow and develop.
Alex

In my big picture, my website has a continuous stream of followers who return again and again because they like what they find there. Now, I just have to find those followers.

Blogging paradise, Fran, that can be everyone's big picture and every post is a post closer. I think that many who read your comment will identify with you.
Thank you for sharing.
Alex

Hi Alex
I reckon WA provides an infrastructure that makes a marketers life about as easy as it can be.
:-)
Richard

Top of the range, Richard, I agree with you. There is do much, even cherry picking puts us well ahead of the field.
Alex.
