The TerribleTwo's

Nothing quite compares to when a little one is expecting their lunchtime sandwich of peanut butter and jelly to be delivered cut into party triangles crusts removed only to discover that it is a hunk of bread cut in half, that look of anticipation soon disappears, and is replaced by the look.

There is a tornado coming across the calm plains of the lunchtime environs.

"I don't waaaaaannnnnn't thisssssssssssssssssssssss mommy, I don't want this".

I am sure you have experienced or witnessed something similar.

Should have had a little morning shut-eye.

The interpersonal skill set is still in that refinement phase, after some screaming and shouting order returns, just like nothing happened at all, the storm has passed and all set off on that afternoon adventure.

The two-year old stage is one of the most important in terms of early development I am told, it is at this phase where we realize that other peoples agendas may not be the same as ours, we are all playing in the sandpit just fine we think, but others are developing their strategies all around us, it is one of the first of many lessons we learn as we develop.

So glad that I recently worked that one out, guess I am all grown up now.

The same can be said about online marketing, it takes time to develop a skill set and it takes time to develop the observation skills to see things for what they are, we almost kind of have to mature into it, both with knowledge and the " how to apply it ".

At certain times we can see things that can annoy us to distraction, it can be a case of the " terrible two's ", something that we should always bear in mind especially in the online world and that is,

what other folks do, will have little or no effect on our bottom line or on the outcomes that we are striving to achieve.

To a large degree, we can operate autonomously doing our own thing, one of the blessings that we have, being involved in Wealthy Affiliate is that we are part of a dynamic community filled with some very positive and like-minded folks.

So never sweat the small stuff, always look to the positive, make the most of every opportunity and share that energy, because that is the energy that carries us all forward.

Have an awesome day.

Alex Evans.

This is a very relevant post Alex. I saw that you had published it but wasn't able to get to read it at that time. Anyway, I was intrigued by the title which I so well know applies to little humans.

So while I was reading your post just now, it related so well to some help I have been passing on to newbies. Having been at this 'game' for a number of years it's easy to overlook the small but extremely important 'needs' that lead to correct functioning of a website and all the finer details that go with it.

On the other hand, when helping newbies I see it important not to confuse matters with information beyond what is required to get the first post or two indexed. It could end up like the result of that 'cut in half loaf of bread' and cause an explosion. Would not be the best in this arena!

Just my two cents contribution for what it's worth.

Hi, Valerie good to see you and thank you for sharing your insights.
Well said, everything is a process, when we first arrive we are swamped with information and in that formative part of the journey we can easily be confused and find our way forward blocked by our lack of understanding.
If we progress through that phase we, in turn, can help others to move forward, when faced with the same.
Really appreciate your response.

My pleasure, Alex.
And, thanks for your reply.

Great insight Alex, I guess we have our hands full.

Hi, David we all defiantly have our hands full, best wishes.

Thanks for sharing, Alex.

Hi, Roger good to see you and you are most welcome.

Great post, Alex. I found this very inspirational. Thanks :)

Hi Wendi, thank you for dropping by and I am pleased that you found this post inspiring.

Brings back memories, thanks my friend.

Hi, Robert, you are most welcome, some are good and some are not so good, thank you for stopping by

To me here at WA is like playing golf. You play the course and not the person playing with you. However, the person playing with you can give you great advise on how to play the course.

Does that make sense?

Hi Don that makes perfect sense, we can learn so much from the folks around us, knowledge and wisdom wise, they can also push us to do our best work, which can be a win, win.

As always, a good post, Alex. It certainly takes time to develop a skill set and it takes time to develop the observation skills to see things for what they are.

Just a little digression. You know, since today morning, I had been mulling over an article that I thought I should be writing in the lines of the need for having a plan B in business. Like, do we need a backup plan for our business? Some people seem to think that having a plan B is an indicator of our weakness and our lack of commitment to our current plan. As I was thinking of the pros and cons of having a backup plan, I saw the comparison skewed heavily in favour of the former, the pros. In fact, I couldn't see any con at all. Then the realisation came that I have come pretty far and that I'm no more the awkward newbie I was eight months ago. I have managed to surprise myself with my ability for introspection in meaningful ways. WA has equipped me with good observation skills. I'm thankful for that.

Looking back you have come such a long way from where you started, like us all, those that stay connected and learning evolve the person we are today is removed from the person that we were half a year ago, it is good to reflect and have this realization.

I used to be in the plan B camp, reflecting it seems as though we tend to start morphing as new possibilities are added to our tools boxes so to speak so it is only ever a plan A and I guess at our best we can bring our A game, the longer we stay things just seem to start evolving around us.

I agree with you much about the WA experience is the unseen,

Thank you for your response and for sharing your thoughts.

I tend to want to cram in too much at once and then have to slow down. I am going a little slower now and trying to absorb what I have gone over so far. I have 6 kids and remember those terrible two's. I am working on grand kids now one is almost two....

Way to go, Pete, when we arrive on the online scene we can want everything to happen yesterday sometimes just backing up a tad and taking things at a slower pace can actually be more productive.
It is such a cool time you will enjoy the time spent.

Amen, Good stuff

Awesome Christian, we are all heading in the right direction.
