The Most Valuable Asset In Your Business
It is said that in the mind of the beginner there are many possibilities and that in the mind of the expert there are fewer possibilities, as one gets set in a certain way of thinking, thereby limiting the range of outcomes. With that said I think I would always like to be a beginner, always searching for those new possibilities, looking for new outcomes, exploring and adventuring.
Beginners mind
A fresh uncluttered and unbiased mind is like a sponge that can be filled with knowledge, a mind that is half full will always have some cluttered cupboards and filing cabinets in it.
Just back from an extended stay in the high country, no power, none of the comforts of the home environment, or the buzz of city living, just the wild open spaces.
A Connection of Course.
With a little creative thinking it was possible to go online, where would we be in this industry without a connection, it is one of the keys after all.
It was definitely a rejig phase, you kind of become that watcher and observer, of your own gig without even realizing that you are morphing, to another place and stage. It is always good to step back and take stock, recommend it to anyone, sometimes disconnecting can be one of the best things we can do in order to reconnect.
Building a business takes time, any business takes a certain applied knowledge and resources to match, without those ingredients you are floundering around in the dark.
To be Successful in Business Today
It is said that you need a strong business mind, I think that we do to a degree, we also need to work on getting in touch with our creative minds, that is where all the good stuff hides.
At some point and I am not sure when or how it happens, you just know stuff, we all experience it at some point doing stuff without thinking, doing it by second nature, I think it is called.
When the creative mind takes over, there are no limits, or should I say not so many. So with that in mind, we need to create and then create some more, it can be one of those things that can help burst the dam and also provide the ideas to build a better and bigger dam.
Online business is a very different world.
One thing to remember
We are the most valuable asset in our businesses, we can forget that or misplace that notion.
Look after yourself.
Hit every day with batteries at full charge it makes for an interesting ride.

It was something that kind of came to me as ideas do, seemingly from nowhere but I think that it may be way more evolved than that.
I think that realizing that we do need a certain business sense but also we need to be creative finding that balance between the two is where the good stuff happens.
I guess it can be as simple as claiming it, we create content we are artists, our words have power beyond the page that they are written on.

A beginners mind is somewhat like a child. A child''s vision is innocent and not tainted with ideas of "what will not work."
Much like a child, a beginner's mind can explore the possibilities of what can be.

Hi Sondra, I live life like that every day, it can become a way of life.
With a child what you see is what you get as they explore their way through life, always for them, it is living in the now. For us, we are tainted for want of a word by life's experiences.
We are always learning new things, I guess that is life its self if we come with those preconceived ideas we limit what we can achieve.
Better to start each day with a clean slate.

That is awesome Sondra, in the online world we need to be living in the nowness of it all, there is only now, we ply our trade in the shifting sands, the life span of content is so short unless we understand how to keep it in that evergreen ecosystem.
Kids are unencumbered life arrives all too quickly, and swamps them so they become like everyone else.
Oh no, I need to make a decision do I grow up, or keep going on the chosen course.

Great point and interesting perspective. I tend to focus on time as most valuable, since it's irreplaceable. However, we are irreplaceable as well, and burnout comes easy. Especially when our time is packed with everything but some personal time to clear the mind and free it up to be more creative.
Hi Jerimy, time is irreplaceable so we all need to invest wisely, both in what we are trying to achieve and more importantly time invested in ourselves.
That measured and balanced approach works the best.
Having that clear vision definitely gives us the oxygen to create.
