The Missing Link On The Niche Trail

I have just been floating around the corridors of WA, it can be such an energizing place. The reality is that just about everyone is here for similar reasons, the one above just about everything is that folks want to create some change in their lives and that creates such a vibrant energy.

Folks can get precious about it all, but the reality is that no matter how we dress it up we all come with the same convictions and desires.

Creating change and new outcomes.

One of the first big bridges to cross is the niche selection bridge because that is what gives us our focus right?

Some folks take to it like a duck to water, and some folks just dip the toe in the waters and take it slow, time today goes so quickly and before we know it 3 months have passed, and then six months, before we know it a year has gone.

The thing about affiliate, marketing is that we are promoting or selling other companies or peoples products and services and in this space, it is the content that we create that does our selling and or promoting for us and usually in our absence.

At the start of the day we need to have a clear vision of what it is that we are selling or promoting and if we can not express that in our 30-second elevator pitch then we need to go back to the drawing board.

Because if we don't know the answer to that then it presents issues when we are trying to convince others to click on the link, or even what that link is going to be, in some cases there is no link.

I am just a garage man from garage land, so that is just an opinion.

I was at a venue and I have never seen so many, little dogs in one place obviously it is the fashion in this neck of the woods at the moment, one little dog went MIA, the lads were searching high and low for the lost one.

Well, you can take a city apartment dog to the country, however, you can not take the dog out of the dog. Unfortunately, little Bella turned up minus the designer outfit she left home in and covered in mud, someday's voice search and my friend Google can be so helpful, it had a happy ending.

It was an eye-opener for me, I didn't realize that folks spent so much coin on dressing and looking after their little friends, and I didn't realize that folks created a business out of providing products and services. So after, the mobile dog groomer paid a visit and a knock up jacket arrived via courier, all was good to go to the ball in matching outfits.

The clients were happy that things were sorted for one of their guests, the little dog's mom was happy, the little dog was happy, the little dog's dad was happy although sometimes guys just need to learn that the best course of action is to keep their half-baked ideas to themselves when it comes to things like this.

So the take-home was that the folks in this situation knew what their business was about, they were providing product and services to a targeted market, and looking at it that market didn't mind paying. I was left scratching my head and I am not rushing to get into the pet niche anytime soon, the upshot is that these folks have that offline, online hybrid model and they are working it, they understand their markets.

In the affiliate marketing space that niche is important, but equally what we are delivering with that message is the thing that will create the income.

So if things are not panning out to your satisfaction, start looking for the reason why it doesn't matter how you get to where you are, in this situation what matters is what you do about it when you are there.

In business, it is easy to navigate the good times, the hard part of the deal is learning how to navigate the not so good times.

That twelve-month period is quite hard to navigate, for someone else, it can be that 3month or two-year period, and it can be a case of one of those, not if but when scenarios. If you hit a patch like this, and you can just about guarantee that everyone will at some point, stop the bus and sit at the bus stop and work it through.

Every day I learn something new, and in this eco-environment that we are privileged to be involved in here in WA, the knowledge and information are unbelievable, my big question is do I effectively use it to get the best results, some days I have my doubts in a fleeting moment.

The hardcore deal is that the "why " is to sell and promote stuff.

In having said that it is so easy to morph things, take WA Domains, for example, it is so easy to whip on in and buy a domain, you can be blessed with that vision of genius at any time of the day or night, it practically takes seconds to complete the transaction.

So I was speaking to someone the other day, like they have 25 domain names,

" So what are you going to do with them, bro? "

" Well, they are kind of an investment, well I might, well ah,...................."

Long story short in other words you don't know what you are going to do with them.

We can usually work out the "why " the challenge is to work out the what.

What are we doing or more precisely what are we going to do about it?

The what we are doing is what can keep us in the game and that is important, it can be so easy to just drift off and loose touch with your reasons for arriving here in the first place.

Just some thoughts to start the week.
