The hardest Words We Will Ever Write.
The hardest words that you will ever write are the first fifty characters. In terms of your online blogging career, it may only be a couple of sentences. For many, I suspect they are the first words that have been written since your school days and it could be your first life experience of writing because you want too.
Remember that writing for profit can also be fun.
But if you come back tomorrow and write some more and write and write and write, you will get progressively better, that is just the natural way things go, it is a reflection of everything in life.
The thing about WA is that we are here to learn how to do this online stuff so no one expects brilliance straight out of the starting gate. Words build into sentences and sentences build into paragraphs and they, in turn, build into posts and posts create something special, that ability to connect with an audience and so it goes.
The thing that we need to appreciate and grasp is that our words speak for us in our absence and that is a selling proposition, it may take time but it does happen, the only way that it will not happen, is if we give up.
Create that writing mindset, and your words will speak for you 24/7/365, I don't know of many other businesses that will allow you to do this.
Create a body of content and you will have many opportunities for those words to express your message. That is a simple but yet powerful formula.
Starting out when no one knows you and you are getting no engagement, the hardest thing to do is to keep producing content, at this stage to keep writing is one of the biggest of many hurdles that we need to overcome.
If we stick to it, we will start to get engagement but more importantly we will start to feel confident in our ability to express our thoughts and insights.
That is priceless on both counts.

Keep writing even if nobody turns up to the show.

Endurance will pay off - we get more and more skilled and when we least expects it, we'll receive revenue. Always good to hear this over and over again, helps to keep the motivation high.

Starting out can be hard and by the looks of things that is the point where a lot of folks give up. If we but realize it we all go through the same doubts and angst no matter who or where we are.
I really like that one Pernilla, it is an endurance kind of thing, we can build on success and writing is no different each post just adds to that writing ability. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

This is true. It gets easier and easier and we gain more and more as our content grows. The key is to keep going when we feel discouraged! Eventually we will have enough content, enough posts, a high enough ranking and enough followers to start reaching the world! It won't happen if we don't start though!

It is about building that momentum and when we do keeping it moving forward. It can be hard when we feel discouraged, one of the best things about WA is the wonderful support we have and get from the community. So true Jessica we do have to start even if it is only a couple of sentences initially, just build it.
I am finding the same thing with social media, getting comments on posts, all of it. It builds but we have to start.
