Relentlessly Committed to Creating Success.
What's the story, morning glory!
If you put in the work and stay consistent, you'll see success; just like any business, offline or online, there is no difference to that formula. But if you don't put in the work and are not consistent with any business you try, it is unlikely to see success.
Wealthy Affiliate is all about pointing us in the right direction, so all the hard work will start bearing fruit and not the classic low-hanging fruit if you get what I mean.
Being a business owner is about doing what it takes until you are successful. Many people with an employee mindset like "someone will or should do it for me if I can't do it" or "I will only give this a couple of months" will give up before seeing success. It can be comfortable to get that paycheque or weekly salary. It does become limiting; the longer one stays in that place, the harder it is to make a breakaway or create the possibility to create some new outcomes.
Relentlessly Committed!
You have to be relentlessly committed to seeing change and do whatever it takes to make it happen. From observation, we don't get what we want in life; we get what we are relentlessly committed to. Once we get to "our there", it is only the beginning of another phase of the journey.
At the heart of it, people come to Wealthy Affiliate looking to create change. It can be easy to lose that focus and drift on without having any real direction even though everything is laid on, knowledge, resources, and support.
It is kind of like creating your recipe or, for want of a word, your signature dish, make it your vision and a vision that others will buy into; always easier said than done.
I have been watching others leave the harbor's shelter and drift away; I would like to say sail away to foreign shores and adventure. Alas, it is into online oblivion; it may just be me, but when someone says, I will be back, they rarely do come back! If they do, it is not with the same enthusiasm. That is how it seems to roll.
Even if you are making money, it can become like a job we are tied to. To keep on creating results, we need to keep applying ourselves. It never stops.
Job fear is a thing!
We hear it all the time the laptop, lifestyle, have you ever tried taking your laptop to the beach? Sand has this homing mechanism built into it, whereby it can get into the keyboard and inner workings of a laptop at the drop of a hat.
Who wants to be working at the beach?
Not me!
I have just rolled off this little experiment where the only way I engaged was on a smartphone. You can do it; take it from me; it's hard. So I spent three months doing it this way and doing it using solar. The first day hooking up the solar panel batteries, I connected the positive to the earth on the converter, which blew it up. No power can't charge the phone; it was crazy. It is surprising how adaptive we can be; I had two phones and a mini keyboard connected to the phone via Bluetooth. The other phone provides a hot spot; it was up a nearby tree, the only place it could get good reception. The initial phone meets a sticky end dropped to the bottom of a very deep lake; by accident.
I am sure there is a niche in there, somewhere; the adventures of Alex E dot com, or similar.
I am back in the land of the living, breathing affiliate marketers.
What magic, a laptop and a desktop in the office at home base. Talking about magic just learned a new trick today, syncing YouTube to your TV using your smartphone; that's a new one on me!
Over the last couple of days, I have enjoyed reconnecting with the online world, but most of all, I have enjoyed reconnecting with WA. What a place, it is flipping awesome, and I think for me, it is a case where you don't appreciate it until you encounter problems connecting if that makes sense.
Like a broken record
One of my broken record statements is that the learning here in WA is subtle, and I am still unsure if it is by design or evolution. I always remember asking Kyle right back in the early days if he or Carson could imagine that WA would evolve into the dynamic platform that it has become.
"Beyond their wildest dreams."
It's not dreams; it is about relentlessly pursuing and being relentlessly committed to building your piece of dream paradise. AIE. Our metric is always money, real purpose and lifestyle creation are not all about money. I probably haven't expressed that the best way if you happen to read it, you may pick it up. It has taken me more than a few years to pick it up.
Having gone into the wilderness and come back, you can appreciate what we have here inside Wealthy Affiliate. It is so unique in the online space, and the cool thing is that we can hitch our wagon onto the train and grow alongside the platform. We can all be stakeholders. We can use the knowledge, resources, and support to leverage our online presence.
Have a great week.
It is great to be back, looking forward to watching all the success unfold herein 2021!
Alex Evans.

It does seem that those of us who stay in WA are repeating the same phrases over and over again about the benefits of WA.
Personally, I find it difficult not to extoll the virtues of being here as I like WA, it provides me with a low-cost way to build and promote a business and I am continually learning new things.
That being said there are some areas that could be improved. Some of the training modules in the core programs are outdated, but to be honest that is always going to be the case in a business that changes this fast.
I am still happy I found WA and do not plan on leaving.

Hi Alex, thank you for sharing, I think WA takes time to mature into our online consciousness, for me going on adventures online is rapidly becoming a way of life.
There are so many benefits, which time reveals.
I agree like all things there are areas that could do with updating, the platform is massive, so a work in progress.
Alex
Exactly, overall, the experience is positive and there is no hard upsell, which is a massive plus.
There is plenty of encouragement and as you say "a work in progress"

Hi Alex. I was pondering this very thing that Richard highlighted too "... learning here in WA is subtle."
It IS wonderful.
On my walk yesterday, I was pondering how my knowledge has grown significantly but subtly, in my short 6 weeks that I have really participated here.
I feel confident that I know so much more and it really is as a result of taking the action. 3 Years ago when I joined, I sadly did very little and unsurprisingly, nothing much happened.
All the best
Michael
Hi Michael, thank you for stopping by; there are indeed so many aspects to WA; a successful online presence is built on way more than just the act of creating content.
It requires an in-depth understanding of how the internet works, especially the massive industry's online marketing aspects that continue to evolve in the online space.
So true, nothing happens unless we do something; getting to that point where we are focused on the outcomes that we desire and applying what we know can be the point that makes all the difference.
Best wishes as you continue to explore.
Alex
Hi Alex
Thank you for sharing your experience and recent exploits. You have said much in this post that could be commented on.
Here's just one:
"... learning here in WA is subtle."
Absolutely...
I suspect that where WA is today has been an evolution, steered by truly dedicated and caring people (we all know who they are, although probably only a small percentage of members have actually met them yet).
I look forward to the day when I can shake their hands.
:-)
Richard
Well said, Richard; there are extensive knowledge and resources available to the members here in WA; one of the issues that we all face is getting the maximum benefits from them.
Every aspect of WA is subtle; it can be easy to miss many gems; if we engage, the benefits can make a huge difference to any online journey.
Thank you for stopping by and sharing your thoughts. Very much appreciated.

Hi Alex. I am so glad that you are back. Your post is so refreshing for I can relate to it.
I went away unwillingly at least 2 times during the less than 2 years that I've been with WA. They were mostly due to the pressure from the outside world.
Each time I came back, the burning desire was (and still is here) for the laptop lifestyle😃 and the realization that I can achieve it via this platform.
Your post has reminded me that this is the lifestyle I'm building here as well as securing a future for my family.
Thanks for the great post.
Carol
Hi Carol, thank you so much for sharing your experience. I think there will be many that can relate.
The journey can be challenging and the road blocks that we face and over come can be the things that make all the difference.
I believe that you will achieve your goals and aspirations.
Keep us updated on your progress.
Thank you for stopping by.

I just got got from a few days of camping. We used to go wilderness camping a lot, but now its time in the near forest in an RV. But, I discovered there was no phone or internet where we went. At first, I was disappointed, but it turned out to be a wonderfully free time. Its been a long time since I did without the internet.
Connection shock, I think it's a medically recognized affliction, kind of like when the devices are ripped from the kids and they are sent outside to play; total child abuse I know. the amazing thing is that 5 minutes later they are back to climbing trees and having fun playing.
Thanks for sharing Jim, once we get used to the idea and relax it can be refreshing not to have that pressure to get online.
