The thing about advice is that it can be dime a dozen, and the online gig is no different, probably more so when it comes to online business advice.

It can be the flavor of the month or it can be on its way unceremoniously out the side door. When one thinks about it there are basically three kinds of business advice that can be helpful to online endeavors, there may be more you could help me out?

Number 1 " the opinion advice ".

What you should be doing what you're not doing and how you can move things forward. The funny thing about this kind of advice is that nine times out of ten we kind of know deep down what we should be doing, and what we need to do.

Everyone has an opinion so sometimes it can be good to hear what others think, the online journey can be rather isolating when you are trying to build that presence so hearing what others think can have a real positive influence, take things on board, either augment your position or discard.

It can be good to know what others in your niche or online in general are thinking.

Number two, " the technical advice".

Don't you just love it when you are struggling away, and someone turns up with that little bit of " how you do this is "

What so simple,

Usually, it is because we over think something, and manufacture a problem out of thin air or as the case may be here in WA we just didn't get that piece of the training. Keeping with WA there is so much knowledge here and the well is so deep we should never go thirsty.

That timely technical advice can save so much time and energy.

If we ever get stuck then go searching, one of the things that amaze's me is that you can be struggling with something and at the very same time others can be struggling with the same thing.

It is almost a case of when you need the answers they kind of appears, might just be me?
Some folks are so knowledgeable here in WA search them out follow them.

Timely technical advice can be such a time saver and business builder all rolled into one.

Number three; " that experience advice".

" The thing about experience is that you can not buy it, one of those things in this sweet life that has to be earned ". The scruffy goat.

So when you come across someone sharing their experience, it is like being washed up on those pure shores, unfold your deck chair and tune in, that's where the gold is and if you observe, look and learn you to can walk away with something special and start walking through some new doors, add that knowledge to what you already have or are working on you will be definitely getting closer to where you want to be.

The thing about experience advice is that it can be so easy to miss it, here in WA, it can feel at times that it is out of our reach, it just passes by so close but if you don't have the right glasses on it can be easy to miss it, you do not hear the message that is being expressed.

You can go so many places online, the thing is that the knowledge and resources are all here in Wealthy Affiliate, we just need to hear what we need to hear.

" Folks just walk in drop a value bomb and leave it ".

So one of the best things to do is keep a look out for that experience advice it will help you to get closer to your goals and aspirations and it saves time trying to reinvent your wheel and searching, use that experience to help you create that place where you want to be.

What are your thoughts on advice, does it help you to grow?

This is kind of interesting, WA is a great place to blog and try things out, Pure Shores is a song by the All Saints, included are some of the lyrics of that song.

Does Google look at keywords or does it do a total content overview, the more that I look at it they are moving to look at content in its totality so as Kyle says it is the whole content that we can rank for?

Gosh, you nailed it, Alex. For me, I benefit from all the different kinds of advice. However, I find the experience advice the one that affects me the most. It's a testament from someone who has been in our shoes...it seems more personal. I'm just thankful for any advice. However, at some point we have to stop listening and do the work...trust our own instincts, find our own answers.
Debbie

Hi, Debbie thank you for your thoughtful response much appreciated, one of the really good things about WA is that we have the advice of all the three kinds as mentioned.

Advice can help us to the point where we can make those decisions we have to make, learning from and observing the experiences of others can make a lot of different moving forward.

There does come a time when we sense what needs to be done and at that point, we usually have the confidence to make the decisions and take the action that we need to.

Thanks for sharing, Alex.

Hi, Roger, you are most welcome and good to see you.

good thoughts there Alex thank you for the your insight. I do appreciate and I have had all of them and they have helped me and pushed me further along, wishing you well

Hi Gus, in business, we can get so much advice, it can be a case of sorting through it all and taking onboard that which adds value to our endeavors, working out the advice that suits us the most can be one of the things that can propel us forward.
I have to agree with you the community and the knowledge base here in WA has certainly helped many of us to move further and at a quicker rate than we would necessarily under our own steam.
Thank you for stopping by Gus.

Good post Alex. There are plenty of members here willing to give advice, even if it is not always correct!

Derek

Classic Derek, That can be the case, it is so interesting to see folks develop in their knowledge and understanding. One of the constants is that folks seem to be genuinely interested in seeing folks achieve success and also celebrate that success.

So you would say that we have to learn what is good advice and what doesn't help us to add value?

Yes, certainly Alex. We have to be able to sort the good from the not so good.

Derek

Thanks for the post, Alex. We are so fortunate here at WA to have an abundance of advice in all three categories. Of course, you have to filter it, and certainly not take everything as gospel, but it's all out there.
Colette and Philip

Hi Colette and Phillip, so true thank you for chiming in, like all things business, there is a lot of advice out there, it can be all about working out what suits our model and what brings value.

Definitely a case of learning how to read between the lines.

The knowledge well here is deep and I think that it will never run dry.

Thanks for sharing, my friend.

Hi, Ronald, you are most welcome and good to see you, how is your journey going all good?

All is going ok. (Could be a little better). But we are all moving forward.

That is good to hear, so true it can always be better or should I say we should always be looking to make things better, best wishes Ronald and like you say we are all moving forward.

It helps sometimes the thing is remembering it. LOL.
Regards
Janet

One of the things we need to take with us as we go adventuring online for sure, remembering all the good stuff can be the issue, the best way can be to put it into practice.

Thanks for dropping by Janet, best wishes.

This is just what I needed to hear Robert no kidding! Very timely and encouraging.I have been going slowly with no time limit because I work six days a week so I have to paste myself. Sometimes I am stuck on a task and before I can find the answer someone has already answered it. I know I must focus more on my training to benefit myself and not get caught up in trying to compete with those who have been here a long time.It not that they are competing its a self imposed thing that I am working to overcome!

Hi John, working six days a week will put the pressure on if you are trying to do extra things, it can be a good thing to take our time to get up to speed.

Wealthy affiliate kind of has this revolving door going down I call it the knowledge exchange. it is just so helpful.

The key is to focus on the training, more importantly, applying what we learn, we are in a competition and like they say the biggest competition that we face in our lives is the competition that we lead with our selves.

One of the keys it seems is to turn up every day and bring our best living life game.

Best wishes John just a query are you getting anything from that course that you mentioned on your bio, sometimes it is possible to cut through the red tape and small little print, and get out of those extended payments, if they are not fulfilling their obligations it may be possible to extract yourself from it if you are not getting value.

Just a thought?
