Loving Jaxxy One month In
Bit of a late arrival to the Jaaxy fold, just been there for a month so a relative newbie and going through that learning curve. I must say without sounding too over the top, well impressed.
For some reason I had built up a Jaaxy, reluctance, don't even ask me why there is no real answer, I just made up my mind that I didn't need it, in the famous words of old aunty
"cutting off your nose to spite your face."
I did have keyword research software and tools so had a few options, so my feeling was that I didn't really need another one, and we do have access to the keyword research tool here in Wealthy Affiliate so the bases were covered so to speak
So one month in why the change of heart, well from the looks Jaaxy is way more than a keyword tool more like an all in one research resource and probably one of the things that did was take the word of others without doing my own research, it can be an easy trap to fall into.
Tools are only as good as the effort we put into them and like everything we need to visit on a daily basis to get the maximum out of them or at the very least build up a level of confidence. Also in this industry, you get what you pay for.
I don't know really where to begin, I am developing a new niche, which is a rediscovered passion, basically, I have been able to research domain names, I have purchased a few not sure what one will be used the others will be sold, bingo a profit. Researched some keywords and content ideas have been able to do a search analysis for sites that are ranking for those keywords. There is a brainstorm function that gives some alternative ideas and top of the pops for me is the automated alphabet soup technique, so easy to build a list of search terms and phases it almost automates the process.
You still have to do the legwork, what used to be flying by the seat of your pants stuff is now a process, I am sure that the chances of success have been elevated.
Much of this online stuff is like fishing to a degree, you have the right gear on the right day and you will catch a fish.
Like a friend who is into fishing, he buys a fishing reel online only to be told by this really good fisherman friend that it was a piece of rubbish, to catch fish you needed a reel with 5 ball bearings to ensure a silent perfect glide, the new one only had three.
Long story short "online purchase angst" set in so off to the local fishing and hunting store he goes,
He asks the sales assistant about his new reel and says that he needs a new one with 5 ball bearings because he won't be able to catch fish with that one that he purchased online.
This is priceless,
The young Chinese shop assistant gets that look on his face you know the one that we humans get when trying to compute whether or not we just heard what we just heard.
You tell your friend fish not know how many ball bearings in reel. ( then starts muttering to himself )
Friend sticks with the fishing reel he purchased online in the realization that it is ,mainly down to to technique that makes you a fisher person or not.
A total classic, so some food for thought and some lessons for me as well......... always research things for yourself, to see if they will benefit you. If they do and the benefit is real then usually they will cost and some costs of business can be way less than the value that they bring.
From the looks of things, there is a very good affiliate program with the platform so by the looks a little work and Jaaxy will become self-funding, what better theme song can we have, on reflection the knowledge that has accrued one month in, it has already paid for its self.
So I probably should have gotten over my self long ago, looking forward to the benefits that are going to flow. I realize that cost can be an issue sometimes if we back ourselves we can find work around's. In my case expenses cut out here can add benefits there.

Alex - I have about the same tenure as you.
I've been using Jaaxy for about 30 days now and have really been enjoying it.
It's definitely more powerful than the Keyword Tool, so if you can afford it, go for it.
Like you said the Alphabet Soup functionality gives you plenty of keyword options to keep you busy for months.
And the Affiliate Network recommendation tool is a winner, especially for newbies.
Hi, Patrick, I have noticed that one as well, if we can get the ideas the writing seems to fall into place, it is good to have those options stacked up.

I loved what the shop assistant said about the number of ball bearings in the fishing reel!
And Jaaxy! I've used it and loved it for a lot of years. I'm still using Jaaxy but need to take the time learn the finer points. It is a little different from it's earlier version.
The fishing tale is a classic alright Valerie, one of those " you had to be there to get the full effect, just priceless. A lot of what we do revolves around research and making our own way in the internet world, My thoughts are Jaaxy is an excellent tool to help us along the way.

To be honest, Debbie as mentioned I have hummed and aahed, sometimes it can be a case of working things through, it is a really useful resource. As we travel along it can be the things that help us tweak what we are doing that can make all the difference.
Yip Jaaxy is fantastic. It is a great tool for research. For me the most fundamental part of Jaaxy is to get keywords that generates article content for me.

I have yet to discover the vast nuances of Jaaxy, but, with that said, I know when I'm in Jaaxy, searching keywords, I'm continuously led to check out this or that. Before I realize it, I've been playing for a few hours. Playing in a productive way though.
