A Neat Way to Create Transparent Logo's For Free
There are many web-based logo creators, online and they may be something that we use only spasmodically. This is a way to create a logo without the white space or background around, it can be particularly helpful if you want to place that logo on your website.
If we look at Canva, as an example, we can create some really good stuff, when you download the image we always get the background with it, which can limit its use to a degree.
A simple work around.
- Go to Canva and create your logo.
- when you are satisfied, click the download button.
- select high-quality png image from the drop-down menu.
- Click download and then save the image to your computer as a PNG.
As we see the image is downloaded with a surrounding background, which can limit its use as a logo.
Go to a site called Luna Pic
- click upload.
- Chose the image file.
- Click upload.
then
- click the edit menu.
- select, " transparent background " from the drop-down menu.
- Mouse over the image and select the white space or background that you want to be removed.
- Click apply.
Then,
- click on the file menu.
- select " save image ".
- Click save as PNG- for transparent.
All, done and good to go we can simply upload the image to our media library in our word press dashboard, a transparent logo with background removed, or from Luna Pic we can share it onto other platforms.
Folks may know how to do this, I was scratching my head, someone emailed a business card that they wanted on the header of their website, it had a black background. Just didn't work. So with the background removed, it looked very good.
Enjoy.

Wow, thanks Alex... I remember someone mentioning Canva a couple days ago. It may have been you. But then I couldn’t find the comment or the training that was linked. Great post...I am definitely bookmarking this one so I don’t lose it.
Hi Bob, there is so much wonderful information available in the community. A lot of it is produced from folks working out how to do things, I hope you find this useful.
Sometimes folks can use abstract titles for training, blogs and questions if we get a little creative we can stand a better chance of tracking down the information that we need.
One of those go to's for me is the question box in the top menu of our home pages.
That need help ask a question has saved me many times.
It has helped me too...I just remembered reading someone’s response mentioning Canva. Again thanks for the post.
Mmm...that's a very informative tutorial Alex. I hope it's truly free because many programs demand payment before the download is complete. Thank you.
Hi, Paul good to see you, I know that seems to be how it is, in this case, it is free and it does work like already mentioned that site is top heavy with adds but that seems to be the fashion at the moment, where ever you go online.
It was just the process that I used, hope that you find it useful.
Likewise, Paul, it is always good to see folks that have been here a while, we get so busy it can be easy to drift off, how is your journey going all good?
Yeah it's my pleasure too Alex. My journey so good, busy with writing content amidst my limited time. Thats why you rarely see me around, working in the background, you know.
