If you know me usually hard core and self-contained if it is hitting that fan, then just follow, we will get through it. I wrote a post recently here in WA; it was a response from a long time member that knocked me for a six. My heart goes out to her and her family.

Anne, or as she is known, N33 wrote a comment detailing her situation, talk about ground zero. I thought that I would post it. I am sure that she will be accepting of that. Always a positive and very helpful and caring member, one that can see things as they are and has the ability to express it in the same caring way.

I just wanted to draw it to your attention.

Another insight is:

I almost don't have the strength anymore, but I'm going to answer you, because people need to know, they need to understand that being confined is the lesser evil in this situation.

We are a family of four. My husband got sick and made an appointment at the doctor. He had to scramble to get diagnosed (which was important, since he works in retirement homes, among other things).

The next day, the test was confirmed positive and he was quarantined. We isolated him in his room, the children sleep in the living room and I in the children's room.

Since then, I am also contaminated, obviously. You can take all the safety measures you want to; when you have to help your husband at night to go to the restrooms, there's no escaping it.

Fever, headaches almost like meningitis (I know because I had one), you feel cold all the time as if you were living in a constant airflow, out of breath, completely oppressed, your body aching and as heavy as lead.

And the two questions I ask myself: what will happen to the children, and is it better to die at home or in a hospital on your stomach connected to a breathing machine?

If you aren't contaminated, rejoice! Keep protecting yourself and others, it is the least you can do, and the inconvenience of confinement? I really don't want to hear it.

So, my beloved family, don't compare it with a flu and take care of your life.

Anne

Talk about leveling up. The magnitude well, I will let you decide based on your circumstances.

Her comment touched me deeply; I am not usually lost for words; it was one of those what on earth do you say moments. It puts things into perspective, no words are needed for reflection. Words of care yes.

It got me to thinking; we are an organization made up of members from all around the world, different races, cultures, genders, and orientations.

There are some members that I am concerned about. I haven't seen Kaju around always irrepressible with that New York state of mind of his. There are many members that hail from that tri-state region. Other members are MIA, not sure if it is Covid 19 or just life?

There may be folks in your networks that have vanished if you have the time to reach out either through PM or place a message on their profile page wall, it would be greatly appreciated. It is a time to care, and a time for pastoral care for our fellow members.

Reach out. If you are well and your business is in builder mode share some energy.

Sometimes it is just that someone cares enough to place a comment of support. If you have experienced a hard time, you will relate, I am sure.

Been kicking around here for quite some time, as I have said before seasons come and seasons go, just as members come and go.

This time around, we do not have the time for silly rubbish; some members are letting themselves down, and some members need to get over themselves.

The game has changed if you haven't noticed. The way forward for anyone that is involved in WA is to stop and look around, realize what you have got and for goodnes’s sake, double down on your efforts if you can. Focus on your game plan; this is long haul stuff, tweak it, and tweak it and tweak some more till you get to that place where you feel comfortable with your situation and where you are heading.

Don't buy into pettiness, because crap is what you will get out the other end, and however it is going try not to make the exception the rule. In a crisis, there will always be someone worse off than you; keep our eyes open.

One thing to remember in business what other people do will never ever affect your bottom line; that responsibility falls squarely on your shoulders.

The big question is are we up to the task. You may face overwhelming times; This place can be your rock in such times, make the most of your opportunity to build your business.

We haven't got time this time, we need to all focus.

Take care, my friends, peace, and remember to think past your own experience at this time you will grow, and so will the folks around you if you keep a cool head.

Every Breaking Wave.

Alex Evans.

Count our blessings, Alex.
Thanks for sharing. Sending prayers and helping others my be all we can do Right now.
I have received and made many more phone calls to check on others.
Spreading love and encouragement, seems to be a new norm, ...at least we can hope!
Thanks for sharing this touching piece, Alex.
Barb

Hi, Barb the waves crash on the shore; they go where they want the water to find its own level.

if we stop and cache our breaths we to can share some energy with the ones that we travel with.

Here we are a community and like that water, we find our own levels.

Thank you for dropping by blessing to you.

Alex

Alex my heart goes out to Anne. My goodness, sometimes we complained instead of being great full for what we have. We don't realized that the situation can get much worse. I hope we can hear from Anne and learn that she has overcome this terrible situation. My prayers are with her. And please do not underestimate the power of prayers. I know we are not suppose to promote religion. The power of our mind is very strong and as long as we think about this virus over powering us. It will. We need to visualized ourselves victorious in order to beat this Monster that is oppressing the world.

Hi Lydia, it is a reminder, that we should take stock and be grateful for the many blessings that we have. I hope that there is a good outcome as well.

The speed that this has evolved is the thing that has taken many by surprise, it is something that is new to us. We have lived with that feeling that our level of technology and societal advancements would see us through anything.

To a degree, we have been living in a bubble and with the arrival of a tiny invisible virus, we have withdrawn to a bubble to survive.

Thank you for stopping by, and stay safe and take care.

WOW, how heart breaking. I heard today that a total of 700 doctors in Massachusetts Med schools are going to be released a little early and volunteers will be put to work right away. It is not much but it is a start. They have to get the supplies going faster. This is far more dangerous than anybody would have imagined. China, even if they fudged the numbers did the right thing. Everyday the powers that be keep telling people what to do and they still don't listen. There is going to have to be some harsher steps taken or this will be going on far too long and many businesses may not recover. People have to be made to conform.

Hi, Edward thank you for sharing your thoughts, At times like this authoritarian rule has some excellent things going for it.

I think in health it is hard to relate to a time of ill health.

When we are young the sense is we will be young forever when we get old we realize the error of our ways. Then we grow some wisdom yet no one will listen.

One day you will get old, in the mind of the young it is not today so pay it no heed.

That was incredibly sad and my heart goes out.

Like it is said bar for grace.

Alex

I am relatively old of 78 years now. thank for the response.

Best wishes, Edward, you will be okay I am sure.

Thank you for sharing that story, Alex. I haven't noticed Anne or her posts here but I feel sorry for her in that situation. Yes, we have to reach out to our friends and be nice to each other, not arguing over stupid things.
As to Kaju, I'm in contact with him and he said he was banned from WA, don't know why though. He's been creating videos for his youtube channels.
Stay safe, Alex
Lenka

Hi Lenka, good to see you, yes at a time like this it can be easy to get sidetracked into things that are not important. WE need to focus the best that we can, on the positive and things that will keep us safe and moving forward.

Thank you for sharing about Kaju, it eases my mind, he is such an energizing character that brings so much flavor to any conversation.

He has obviously upset someone's apple cart, I hope that gets sorted for him that would be devastating for him given the current situation.

Stay safe Lenka.

Hi Alex. I watched Kaju's latest Youtube video which showed some of the bad conditions in NYC.
He mentioned to me on one of my sites that he follows that it is rough there, and I am not sure if he has internet other than his phone.
New York has been hit the hardest they need our prayers.
Stay Safe.
Ray

Hi, Ray thank you for stopping by and sharing.

There is a serious situation developing in New York, and they do need our thoughts and prayers. Thank you for letting us know about Kaju.

Take care ray and stay safe.

Alex
