Niche marketing is all about providing and promoting solutions to problems. Affiliate niche marketing is all about presenting someone else's product or service.

Some reflections.

Driving down the road, the other day, it had just finished raining the tarmac was shining, and the sun was reflecting off the wet surface. The sun glare was blinding; I had to pull over.

I have a problem I need a solution!

I have to get me some driving glasses, so online I went.

All sorted.

A niche is born.

For marketers, there is a niche around every corner, and if there ever was a time to be involved in online marketing, it is today.

I don't know if you have noticed, everybody searches online, we all do it without thinking, that phone comes out, we are living in a mobile world.

It used to be folks would say, "ask Google," now we have progressed to where it is automatic.

For marketers, there is always that question about what niche, ah, ah, ah, what am I going to choose. It can become a life depending decision. The important thing can be to learn the processes involved; they then can be applied across the board.

Remember the basics; there is a problem; there is a solution. Successful niche marketers are all about providing solutions that work.

Across the great divide.

In the IM and MMO space, people do not necessarily have a problem. They have a desire.

We all of us get to that point in life where we have that feeling deep down that things are not what we expected, or our situation is what we want from life.

It is at that point that many, hunker, down, and are quite accepting of their lot and set about creating a life that is acceptable and comfortable to them.

For others, it is a time of reflection and a time when the urges are to reset their internal and life directional compass.

The big challenge is the how-to.

Invariably people are attracted to the internet and start their search for a better way of creating and crafting their lives.

It is a thing.

The thing is, is it a problem?

Not really!

People are looking for a change.

They have a life the majority have employment the majority of us are muddling through, there is a natural order to life.

People couple up.

That is how it is.

There are two polarities; on one side, people are looking for a solution, and the other people are looking for a way to change.

We could chicken and egg it, but why over complicate it.

We want change.

The thing is people don't know how to go about it, 9 out of 10 don't know what they are, looking for. Just cast your mind back to the day you landed in the reception of Wealthy Affiliate.

Was it what you expected, did the sales pitch live up to your expectations. Did you know what you were getting involved in and what you were supposed to do?

The overriding fact is that we are here because we want to change. As the journey evolves, we can lose sight of this, get derailed, and give up.

On one side of the coin, we are seeking a solution to a problem, and on the other side of the coin, we are seeking change.

As marketers, we need to work out what side of the coin we are on; this will dictate how we go about creating our business models.Invariably we end up following, a methodology that works for some; we need to feel comfortable with what we are doing.

If we do not, then it will end up sucking the lifeblood out of us.

Things are continually changing. Some stay the same.

Commerce has not changed from day dot; it is all about creating mutual benefit. For a business to thrive, it needs to recognize this. There is also building in the ability to adapt and change to reflect changes in the market place.

Failure to do that latter assigns a business's fate.

No matter what camp we are in; a solution provider/creator, or a change-maker/creator, three questions should be front and center.

The three W's are great tips!

What are you selling or promoting?

What is your unique selling point?

And that dirty little word, the " M-word."

What is the commission and or rate of return for your efforts?

Hey Alex.

No, that's not right; I want to help people, I want to make a difference in the world.

Well!

If we don't answer those three little questions, how can we help others when we are not helping ourselves first?

If we do not have a clear vision; we end up expending energy in the wrong areas and on the wrong things, this will not help us to create the outcomes that we are seeking.

To be able to make informed decisions, we need to be in ownership of the right knowledge and also the ability to apply that knowledge through the resources that we have available.

When we look at Wealthy Affiliate, we have all we need, so many boxes are ticked. The only primary missing ingredient is our intent. Without that, we are going to struggle.

Personally focusing on the three W's has helped me to focus. Without that focus, it is so easy to drift off, and

You know what they say about that 10,000-mile journey; if the navigator is two degrees off course at the beginning, you will never hit your desired destination in a million years.

So are you a solution provider or a change creator or a little bit of both all rolled into one?

The mindset is all about helping people with a solution to their problem or helping them to create change.

Wow alot here to digest, think I need to star it to re-read again. I'm so busy building my website and content that the marketing end of things ain't even featured in my thought process.

Thanks for the tips Alex, when I'm ready to think outside the box I'll certainly revisit and implement.

All the best, Jules

Hi Jules in the beginning, it can be hard to think in terms of marketing and selling, when we are learning a new skill set and putting it into practice.

If we give it some consideration, it can have an impact on what we are doing and what we are creating.

Best wishes as you continue to grow your online presence.

Alex.

Hi Brad, you are most welcome, as marketers there are some questions that we need to ask ourselves.

Trouble is, that at times we can put them in the too hard basket.

When we create definition the path can become clear.

Alex

Terrific article Alex. Right on the money as they say. Clarity makes it easier to know where you are going and why.

Really enjoyed reading.

Lily 😊

Hi Lily, thank you, so true, that is especially the case when we have defined the clarity and it is us that are driving it.

A good post Alex, plenty of food for thought, and to keep people coming back to you you need to consistenty add value, Alan.

Hi Alan, thank you, just some reflections that are really starting to create some traction.

Sustainably is in a close relationship with consistently adding value, the more the better.

Great insight, Alan.

Alex, you made some excellent points. First, no question that world looks for answers via Google. Next, charity begins at home. You can do well and do good at the same time.

Hi Stanley, we are living in a mobile age, and Google has created the best landing pages currently known.

Charity does begin at home, a saying and way that has stood the test of time.

Thank you for sharing your insights, Stanley.

Alex
