2018 Is Looming Fast Time To Start Planning
2018 is looming fast, time for reflection on the year that has been, what has been accomplished and what has not. It is never too late to create changes that will enhance our online presence and business. One of the things that we should avoid like the plague is not doing anything to bring about change, especially if it will enhance our business and lifestyle, especially if we know what we should or could be doing.
When talking about positive change, it doesn't have to be dramatic, even small incremental steps can be all it takes to bring about massive change, especially if the steps we take are done consistently, incorporate those changes into your daily routine.
As one year draws to the end it is an excellent opportunity to start planning for the year that is about to arrive. Think about where you are and where you want to be.
Always think and act positively with all your online engagement, it helps to build a well-rounded momentum.
One of my reflections is that I haven't progressed in certain areas. One of the hardest things we do as marketers can be,being upfront and honest with ourselves.
For the coming year seek out the opportunities that will help you to grow and develop as marketers, the opportunities to grow your online presence, the opportunities to grow your business.
Write them down, start researching and developing that plan. Develop a sense of what you are going to do and how you are going to make it happen. Remember to go big at least on a couple of projects you may just end up surprising yourself.
Even drill down to one thing, one thing that you feel will drive your business, take it on board and make it a year-long project. If we focus, we can create and craft some extraordinary results especially as we add constant action to the recipe.
I see that Wealthy Affiliate is running the Black Friday special on yearly membership excellent value and cost saving, this could be a starting point take up the offer if you have not already from previous years. Yearly membership is a mindset and game changer for some reason.
Probably second on that list would be effectively utilizing all the resources that are available here and looking at the information on the latest Wealthy Affiliate sales page they are many.

On second thoughts I think that I may have my number one thing to do for 2018, amongst other things, that is using all the resources here at WA to help me grow my online presence and business more effectively.

Hi, Mike business success and planning go hand in hand sort of like that chicken and the egg. being able to prioritize is a skill well worth learning. Maintenance can be one of the priorities that could be top of the list.
I think your idea of honing in on at least one area of marketing our business for 2018 is ideal and makes it a little easier to digest. And as TomHayes1 mentioned, solidifying the foundation through our training makes a perfect balance.

Hi Priscilla, finding that balance between learning and implementing what we learn can take time but if we focus, results will come.
For many of us, the time fly's by if we don't plan ahead we run the risk of being in the same place 6 months down the track and before we know it another year has passed us by.
Planning is one of the best things we can do to ensure that our businesses are moving forward especially if our focus is on what we are selling or promoting. if we are to break it down there are two aspects to our businesses one is the technical side development and content creation and the other the marketing side we need to create plans around both aspects.
Great advise, Alex. I'm just getting started, but you mentioned several of the things I'm working on now that I intend to continue. Need to work harder at getting a consistent time to work on my business regardless of what life throws my way, though. It's very easy to get overwhelmed with everything else in my life that needs attention. But growing my WA business is my #1 priority both now and in the coming new year.
Hi, Carol, there are usually a couple of pain points when creating our online presence. When we are starting out finding the time to set aside for developing our businesses can be an issue. If we can identify what is holding us up, we can take steps to resolve the issues that we face. Sometimes becoming aware is half the battle.
That overwhelmed phase has confronted many of us when we start taking positive steps it soon disappears.
Thanks Alex! Great advise. I can not believe how this month has flown by. Or this year. Instead of beating myself up over what I have not accomplished yet, I'm focusing on how much closer I am to completing the goal in 2018.
Hi Sondra thanks for sharing with us, I think that many of us can get a little peaky over what we haven't accomplished, I find that sometimes it is good to stop the bus get off at the net stop and reflect on what has been done and what we are doing to effect change moving forward, only works if we get back onto the next bus through to much time reflecting and things grind to a halt.
The year fly's by so quickly I think that everyone is leading such busy lives these days so there is little time for reflection. One of the real pluses of online marketing exploring different ways to get some control back into our lives by doing things differently.

2017 was a bust for me. After all the family issues I had last year with my mother getting ill I was just wiped out. But I am going to get back into it come the new year and revive my ghost town of a site. You can;t keep a good man down :)
