Pinterest Yes Or No For Your Website as a way to get more traffic?
Hello everyone,
As I keep working on my websites, I follow WA training and as a way to get more traffic I share new and old content on Pinterest.
Is Pinterest as good as it used to be?
My story might be familiar to some of you, Pinterest was recommended as one of the best Social Media platforms to help any website to get a good volume of traffic.
If you wanted to use it, you needed to work hard on it, making the pins, sharing the pins and learning all the SEO to create a good pin to get good volume of traffic to your website.
And for many years it worked really good, but I'm not sure what is the problem now, or if it's just me.
Let me tell you what I'm seeing is happening now, at least on my Pinterest accounts, let's say I have two Pinterest accounts.
Pinterest account #1
I started this account many years ago, and it was working good!
I got a few viral Pins on this account and they were working extremely good for my website (Quilts)
This Pinterest account grew up well up to 50K monthly impressions - no ads.
Then one day, I noticed this account went down to 50 monthly impressions, and today it gets only 30 monthly impressions!!!
So, nobody can see my Pins at all, and this means, no traffic to my website from Pinterest anymore!
Pinterest account #2
I started this account last year, and it was working really slowly, no more than 200 monthly visits.
Two weeks ago I started an Ads campaign and this account started to grow well, only on monthly impressions, not on followers.
This Pinterest account grew up in two weeks of ads from 200 monthly impressions to 21K monthly impressions.
By these results from two different accounts, this is telling me, if I don't pay for ad, I don't get anymore any impressions, and with no impressions this means no traffic to my website.
Both accounts are on the same niche.
Is Pinterest becoming an only paid platform to get traffic to our websites?
Have you noticed also is happening to your Pinterest accounts?
I would love to hear from you, is Pinterest still working good for you to get traffic to your website without the need to pay an ads campaign for it?
Do you have a good tip about how to get better results from Pinterest?

Stay with it, there is a big emphasis on sharing others pins now and I just had my record impressions and that is coming through as traffic.
One thing I find odd is that all the people who I followed on the give and take share on WA only a third followed me back. ! Interesting. Good Luck, I am sticking with it, all the best, Phil
I had good success with it in the past and have been thinking to get back into it, but haven't this year.
Very few days have passed without paying a visit to Pinterest. You on target with that, it is very good for social signals to my posts, when I do need a boost in rankings. And I used it for every post that I have created.
Great that you are getting some awesome traffic. Thank you for reaffirming how important Pinterest can help with our business.
PS: Uploading videos is a gamechanger as well.

I am thinking that pinterest is a must, but it is one platform that I have trouble with. I keep trying. Your post has given me new resolve.
Yes, same here, when I thought I was doing it right, the platform changed again, so I need to learn how is working good now on Pinterest.
