Niche Site - July Report
Niche site - July 2020 report, time flies so fast when you're busy working on an online business.
Hello Everyone!
I want to say hi to you all and share some about how our niche site did on July 2020.
We kept working on writing new content for our website, but this past month we had a couple of talks (like business meetings) about what type of content should we work on for our website.
As you well know, when writing a niche site you can write two types of blog post:
- Money posts
- Info posts
At the beginning we were focused on writing money post, but on July we agreed to write both type of posts and see how well each type does in the future.
10 New Blog Posts
We didn't write a massive quantity of posts, but we focused on the quality of each post.
I want to give you a list about what we considered was important to work on, it might give you a guide of what to do.
- What info your audience is looking for on the internet - When you think something is important for your website or for you, but nobody is using it or nobody is looking for it, your site won't get any traffic and it will be no business for you.
- Take your time to find the best keyword for new content - It is worth it to take the time to find a good keyword and check how well that keyword is doing for your competitors.
- Take your time to learn all you need about this particular topic.
- Write a better blog post than any other website on your niche and for that particular keyword.
- Get the best pictures for that post. And write your keyword on the alt text.
- If you have a YouTube channel, make a video for this post, if you don't have a YouTube channel, check if someone has a good video for the keyword and embed it to your post.
- Write a post
- Edit the post
- Publish the post
What Worked Good On July 2020 For Our Niche Site
- We created only 10 new posts, but we did our best
- Our niche has 20+ posts on first page on Google !!!!!!
- Our niche got its first comment from a visitor from organic search and it's a very nice comment!
- Our website got two new affiliate sales!
What didn't Work Good For Our Niche Site
- Traffic is still low.
What Is On Our Agenda For August 2020 For Our Niche Site
- As you can see, we have been working on this young niche site and I think for a site that has been on the internet for only 10 months, is doing good. I'm sure as it grows in content and on time, it will do better.
- We will be working on creating new content.
- We think our site is ready to try an ad campaign on Pinterest (Jay's training)
What do I think about working on a niche site full time for the last 10 months.
- It's better when you focus only in one website at a time.
- If you still have doubts about if you're writing good content or not, it's better to take your time to learn more about how to do it.
- There are plenty of trainings about this topic here on Wealthy Affiliate, from how to write a post everyone will read, to how to chose a good keyword and more.
- Find relevant information about how successful bloggers write a post. (just follow one blogger at a time)
- If you see one of your posts is doing poorly, try new things and give it time to rank better.
- Working on a niche you love, it will help you to work on it for hours, days and even weeks before you see some results from it.
- Working to build up a website is a full time job!
My tip:
Start where you are, as you keep working on your website, you will learn more and more about how to do it right, than you'll see how your post will rank better and better!
Keep at it, don't quit, if something is not working well, try new things and give your website time.
Ask for tips and advice, we are so lucky to be part of this great community, and we all are always willing to give a hand.

I think the big thing for me over the last month is becoming more focused on reflecting on the results or not for that matter and making adjustments accordingly.

That sounds all very positive and I am happy for you it is going so well.
Nice that you are working this together with your husband, you look like a great team.
I am still redoing all my posts, slowly but surely.
Spain is in a heat wave with 40C plus in many places. Early in the morning I open the whole house to close again 2 hours later, that is old farmer knowledge and like that you survive.
