Hello everyone!
It's me again, writing a new blog at Wealthy Affiliate to tell you what I have been doing these first two weeks of 2019 to help to grow my niche site, and what are the results so far.
The first week I didn't take any days off and I took part of a free webinar on Facebook about how to close 2018 and start a better year.
The workshop was 5 days long, with a task to work on each day, the first day was a little hard to work on, but it's a way we all should take time to do it.
2018 review.
Yes, many of you might read it and say... ouch! I don't want to go there.
It was my reaction when I saw that task to work on the first day, I should add here, that it is better to get a notebook and start writing down everything about how your online business did last year.
Make a list of your achievements and make a list about what went bad.
Everything is important, everything will help you to know better.
Make a list also about how do you feel about the good and the bad.
As I started this exercise, I was feeling sad and low, as I kept writing, my emotions changed from "what a shame, I have a poor business" to "Hey, I did better than what I thought I did"
At the end, I had on my notebook a big list of things I worked on and some good results from it.
Some of the steps I did on 2018.
I began the year with 4 different sites.
I signed up to the SAWG group and I followed Kyles tasks to work on each month.
By the 3rd month, I decided I could not keep working on 4 sites, so I focused on my niche site.
I kept creating new content for this site, one new article every week, so you can say I added a minimum of 52 new articles for my website.
That might be not much for a website, but I need to say, it takes me from 2 to 3 days to create a full article to my niche site as I need to make a new "Quilt" project to talk about it, and most of the work I do is by hand.
If I want to create "quality" content, I need to keep the number of articles low, so I decided to create "quality" content.
On the SWAG group, I learned that one article is not enough and my work as an online entrepreneur doesn't end there.
Once I have a new article for my website ready, (I use all the great tools we all have here at Wealthy Affiliate to help my new article to be liked by Mr. Google)
I need to use all the tools to help my article to rank good, to share it on Social Media is a must.
I started the year knowing nothing or little about "how to share your content on Social Media"
I signed up here for a few trainings you share to learn more about this topic, but I also looked for some more information about how to do it out there.

I must say here, not all the Social Media platform will work as good as you think, each website and each niche have its own Social Media platform to work on.
My website and my niche is good for these four listed Social Media Platforms.
Let's say here, I tried Twitter with poor results and lots of time-consuming so I better don't keep working on it.
Focus and work where you see the good results.
Note: I know many of you might have not a good image or thought about Facebook, I must say I keep my Facebook account first to get in touch with my family, but we work on it in private, not public.
Second, I keep my work on Facebook in a professional way, I mean by this, I don't get into publish any bad content, and I don't get involved in "hot" or "not good things"
Third, I don't keep myself on this platform all day long, I go there, I share my website content, I reply to comments from my followers and I keep working on the tasks I have for that particular day.
Back to the 2018 Business review.
After I had everything on paper, and I was happy to see how much I did in one year, and I could see good numbers on:
- daily visits to my website
- daily visits to my Social Media
- my followers started to be active on my Social Media
- My Social Media platforms started to grow steady every day, every week and every month.
Time to make a plan for 2019
As I kept working on the workshop, the task for the second day was to write down everything I want to achieve for this year.
You can write two lists here, your personal goals and your online business goals.
Don't be shy to write down big goals, but just remember you need to be realistic.
If my business did $1K last year, I won't write down as a goal to reach $1M, right?
But I can dream of making $10K or $20K
Time to make a plan for the first 3 months.
Yes, here you need to make a plan on paper for the first 3 months, no more.
If you want to make this year a big one, you don't need to work on a plan today for the next 12 months, focus on a short term plan.
Make a plan for month 1, month 2, and month 3
Make a list of tasks to work on week 1, week 2, week 3, week 4 and week 5, it will depend on how many weeks each month has.
That was day 3 of the workshop.
What do you need to make this happens.
On the four day, you will need to check how to work on each task you need, do you have everything you need to work on that?
Many times, things fail because, when you need to work on a specific task you don't know what to do or how does it work.
(happened to me in the past)
Then, just because, that task looks difficult to work on, you might avoid doing it. and your business plan to have a big year will go to the "bye-bye, it was just a dream"

If you have a particular task to work on for a day, but you need to learn more about it, you can look for that "topic" and you will get a list of blogs and trainings.
If you need more specific help on a topic, you can also go to live chat and ask your question there, you will get the help you need in about 30 seconds.

Well, this is the way I'm working on to keep working on my niche site and make of this 2019 the best year!
I know it will require lots of work, but everyday I'm happier to see good results!
I know where my business is at this point, and I already have a plan to work on paper, and I know what to do every week and every day.
It's time to keep working to create more quality content for my followers and it's also time to create some online products to start making money for me!
I believe, at this point my website is strong and it's growing steady to create my first product for sale!

Your ideas are great!
I will be spending the month of Feb. in CA, which is a big change for me. So, have outlined this month and next month, made a list of all the posts I will do for each month (I do 3 a week) and am trying to get them all written before I live. It's been a good way to get me on track. I think I will continue doing a schedule for two months in advance. It gives me a good idea of the action I need to take for the next two months.
I keep a Bullet Journal. It helps me track how I am spending my time, what I need to remember and act on. I write down my passion in each area of my life and the steps I need to take to accomplish my goals.
That is the basis for my annual plan. Based on steps I must take to accomplish my annual plan I write down the tasks I must accomplish in the next three months. That is the most import planning I do. @Alejandra emphasizes the importance of quarterly planning in her article.
The other thing she emphasizes is the importance of consistency, Decide what the most important thing in your life is and work on that one Big Thing consistently every day. Do it first thing in the morning. You may only be able to devote a half hour to your most important thing, but done consistently, you will be surprised at the progress you make.
