I'm a big fan of Jamie Oliver, and there's so many reasons for that:

  • I love home made cooking
  • I love healthy cooking
  • I love food that smells and taste good (and sometimes smells great)
  • I love cook easy recipes

But most of all I love Jamie Oliver because he is a nice person everytime I see him, on TV or on the internet.

Today on his Facebook page he is introducing a young master cook winner from Poland Damian Kordas, and Jamie points out how this young chef wanted to get known for more people, so he came up with an idea:

"To contact Jamie Oliver, to ask him to cook something together!!!:

-What about that, Damian Kordas knew what he was doing!!! if he gets Jamie Oliver attention his rating will go high high to the sky in less that one hour.

So he sent a message... nothing, and he sent another message and nothing.

Bloggers, website owners should never run out of ideas to get themselves known by everyone!!!

So he had an idea, and he uploaded a photograph of himself to call the attention to Jamie Oliver... and voila it worked!

So Jamie Oliver contacted Damian Kordas and they had a talk and it went well, and they got together to cook Polish Pierogi!

Innovative and unique Alejandra. You win a celebratory trip to Warsaw!

I still remember my visit to Warsaw a few years ago (many, many years ago).
I still remember I love Poland, I still remember one day I had a polish breakfast in a small restaurant, it was so good!!
I remember when the waitress ask us (as I was traveling with my grandparents) what would we want to have for breakfast?
I saw the menu was all written in polish, of course I couldn't read it at all, so I took a look to other tables where local people were having their breakfast and I pointed to one "breakfast" and I told the waitress, four of that!!
My grandfather told me, "what did you order?, what about if we don't like it?
But I told him, relax grandpa it will be ok!
and it was so good!!!!

Thanks for sharing, Alejandra.

I thank you!

You're welcome.

Good evening Alejandra,

Nice to see you again. I must say that was a clever idea with the photo. Tell us how this Polish dish tastes.

Greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske

Hola Taetske,
Yes I think this young chef had a clever idea and it's working great for him!
I had Pierogis for the first time in my life here in Quebec, before I didn't know about this polish dish, I must say I like them, and they are not too hard to make at home.
I must try this new recipe next week!! then I will tell you how this Pierogis taste!

Buen dia en el bello sur de Espana!
Alejandra.

Thank you, Alejandra, I am looking forward to hearing about the taste test.

All the best, Taetske
