How To Blog With No Internet

Hello everyone,

Tomorrow or on next day SAWG group will get the task we should work on for the 4th month, so I want to share with you all what I did on the 3th month.

I kept myself focused on writing more content for my website, it was easier to keep at it because of the keywords list I made at the beginning of the month.

So my writing goals went good.

14 posts with 1000 + words on each one

20000 words.

Last week I was so happy to see my stats about writing content for my website, I was thinking to keep going and get a few more post ready to be published before this last SWAG month comes to an end and I should set new goals for next month.

I can make a plan and stick to it unless mother Nature comes up with something else!

Quebec had a bad wind storm last Friday night!

Hurricane winds of more than 90 Km/hour = we lost power!!

Yes, almost everyone in the area lost power, and with no power no internet at home!

When this happens all you can wish is to get power restored in a few minutes and I could keep working according to my plans.

But not this time... we were lucky to get power back in 24 hours, that is real happiness!!

Until you turn on your laptop and find out everything is working good, first thing is to contact my children and let them know I'm OK, as 24 hours with nothing from mom, they might be worried.

After I send to my children the PM to let them know I was OK, and power was back, WE LOST INTERNET SERVICE!!!

That's it, our internet service was out for another 24 hours!!!

48 hours with no internet at home mean I didn't work on my writing plans at all!

The good thing about working on an online business is no matter is you have power or not, internet service or not, your business is on the internet and people can visit your website and everything will keep working, that is the best reason to start building an online business.

I must say, I tried to get connected to internet from different places that used to offer FREE INTERNET service for clients, but this time, I think everybody got the same problem, no internet service or power anywhere!

SECOND thing I learned from this, to be patient and relax, nothing bad will happen, and all you need to do is to calm down and go out and do something different from your plans.

After the wind storm, weather was nice, perfect weather to go out for a walk or just enjoy mother nature when is calm and pretty.

What goals I didn't achieve this month from the SWAG challenge:

  • Daily 20 minutes on the live chat
  • Leave at least 2 to 5 comments on other people websites

I need to work better on it.

Tomorrow on in a few days more will be time to take a few minutes to set new goals to achieve for next month.

Well, what I learned from this past week-end is once again to start an online business is always a good idea, it might be problems to face and to work on them to find solutions, sometimes solutions will be in our hands, sometimes won't, all you can do on those times is to relax, wait and everything will be back again to normal, then it's time to go back to work on your online business.

I'll keep at it!

Hi, Alejandra.

Glad you got your internet service back.

I know how frustrating losing internet connectivity can be. I've had an internet outage since 5/2, and it was finally fixed today.

It went out while I was watching Kyle's post about the new platform, and I have to figure out how to find it again to finish watching it.

I agree that the only thing to do in that circumstance is to try to relax and wait until things return to normal, but I must admit I was experiencing WA withdrawal before they finally fixed it today!

Carol

Alejandra, I know how it feels when the internet not works!

Yesterday the internet was down for the whole day!!! Couldn't answer the comments left on my website, couldn't answer PM's or WA comments. Couldn't work with the internet dictionary - need that for finding the correct words in English while writing blogs.

At least I could write and prepare a blog. Happy that the internet works again today . Now I can work properly again!

You are doing a great job Alejandra. The most important is that you and your family are safe, not being hurt by the hurricane.

:-)

Hola Amiga, lamento la interrupción que tuviste. Para serte sincero no creo que esto te detenga. Al contrario volverás con más fuerza. Saludos!

What a belated silver lining Alejandra

Thanks

I thank you.

Very good blog Alejandra, never thought of Mother Nature as being a good reason for starting an online business. Must remember that.

Hi Harvey!
It's good to know even it was hard to keep working from home this past weekend, my online business was visited by my readers and followers! and many online business work that way, it's good to know.

Nice post, Alejandra.
I heard that people lost power last week. I'm in Ottawa and luckily for us, we had power all along. The winds were so strong, I was a bit scared myself. A few trees went down.

I'm curious about the challenge you mentioned.
What is the SWAG challenge?

Giselle

Hi Giselle,
It's good to know you were OK in Ottawa, I also heard on the news Ottawa had strong winds too and a few trees had some problems, here in Quebec there was over a million people with no power, but now everything is ok.
The SWAG challenge is a group of WA Premium member who got Kyle's invitation to be part of it
It's a program of 4 month where every month we all get a list of tasks to work on to write more content for our websites,
This program will help anyone who is interested to get their online business in good shape to make a full income from it.
You can visit the link to this program and read about it, I will add the link here. If you have any more questions about SWAG group and challenge, let me know and I will reply to you.

Have a great week.
Alejandra.

Nice! Thank you for the info.
I'll read the link you provided.

Have a great week! :)
Giselle

Very true, getting stressed won't help anything! You got a LOT done last month, be proud!

That was a bummer, 48 hours without internet, you almost needed rehab;)

Hi Loes, Lol, yes I almost needed some rehab!!! you should had seen me the first 30 minutes, asking my husband every single minute: is internet back?
Well, I learned how to not to ask about it every second and go out and do something else.
Have a good week!!

Haha, I do recognize that, looking 20 times per minute;) Have a great connected week too

Awesome! Thanks for sharing this great advice. It's all too easy to throw up one's hands in the face of a setback. But setbacks and problems happen all the time, so we have to learn to adapt and overcome them. At least, when it is humanly possible. If it's not, then it's probably best to utilize the time to recharge for when things get back to normal.

So true Mark, sometimes things happens that we can't control or fix, it's always better to relax and do something else, and go back to work when things get back to normal.
Have a great week!
