How Pinterest and Youtube Are Helping My Website
Hello everyone!
I'm back here at WA after 5 weeks in Mexico.
Nice weather, great food but most of all I spent some time with my children and my grandchildren!
I had the opportunity to see my granddaughter for the first time and she is so cute, and I also had great time with my grandson, he is only 7 years old and he is already interested to become a Youtuber, I will write about that later.
5 weeks in Mexico, and I'm sad to say I was a bad and poor blogger, I didn't find the time or the way to keep working on my sites at all.
So I'm back to my home in Canada and I'm back to work on my sites, I already wrote two posts.
While I was in Mexico, I kept checking every day my stats on Google Analytics and I could see how my sites did, (not as good as I wish they could do, but anyway, I will keep working on them)
Today on my inbox, I got an e-mail from Pinterest and once again it says some people get interested on my Pins (content I share on Pinterest, to get traffic to my sites)
Yes, drum roll; 6,584 impressions!!! WOW! I could jump of happiness, three pins makes a lot of impressions!
But wait a moment... let's think a little more, and pay attention to what this could mean for my quilts site, yes my niche site.
I wish I get 6,584 people visiting my site, can you think what would this mean to a site?
Yes: lots of people interested on what I do and it could mean some clicks on Amazon, but this doesn't work as simple as I could think.
Impressions mean people like the pins and they might save them to their boards, but not all the people who save a pin will visit the website :(
Let's take a look:
This pin got already 1.1K just one people saved it and one people did a click on it to visit my website to read this blog post.
Hmm, I know, this doesn't look too good at all!
This pin did already 5.2 impressions, only 23 people saved it to their boards and 33 people visited my website!
Well, now I know better my numbers and I need to keep working on create more content for my website.
Even the numbers don't look too good for my website, these numbers and getting to know more about them can help me to know what people who is interested on my niche like or not

Now let's talk about how my Youtube channel is doing - Same website and same niche.
Yes, I decided a few months ago, to give Youtube a try, no time to being shy and try to learn how to make some videos to create more ways of content for my online business.
I started my Youtube channel a few years ago, but I didn't know what to do or how to do it at all.
For years, I had one or two followers on my channel and one of those followers it was me :(
Jay's Youtube training have helped me to create better videos and the marketing.
I'm happy to say that my Youtube channel got its 105 follower today!!!
It's getting better and better every day, some days I get a new follower and some days like today I get 4 or 5 followers!!
I can dream about the day I will reach my first 200, then my first 500 and one day I might get the surprise to get more!!
Once again, you need to learn what your audience is looking to watch and learn from you.
I already have more than 40 videos on my channel, but not all of them do great, some do poor and some do better, this is the way my audience can let me know what direction I should go.
My best video is doing good! It's over 2.3 K views!!! and 69 LIKES!!!!
So, not too bad for a new YouTuber!!!
The new followers on Youtube are following me on my Facebook page, so I can say these three Social Media platforms are working OK for my website.

Now, this is just the beginning, I need to keep at it and create more content thinking on my audience.
I love to work on some type of quilts, but this is not what my audience like the most, so I need to make a few changes and create the quilts my audience like and would make!
A few small changes will not hurt my quilting style and it might help me to build an online business, so I will keep working and creating more quilts to share on my website and these Social media platforms!
Don't quit, even sometimes it looks like a website is not doing the best, the next week you can see there's people interested on your content.
It takes time and work to build up an online business!

So good to hear you had such a lovely time in Mexico visiting your family. No wonder you had no time for your website, I think it happens to most of us so do not feel bad. Now you have new energy to continue working.

Thanks so much for your kind words, I had such wonderful time with my family, time went by so fast, now I'm back in Canada but my heart is so happy with so many great memories of the time I spent with my family, my grandson made my day everyday there!
Now it's time to get back to my online business and I have a long "to do list" to work on.

Hola Alejandra,
Here all is well. The outside of the house and garden walls are being whitewashed. It looks so nice and it was really necessary to do. Filling in little cracks with white cement and voila it looks as if you have a new house.
Michael is very busy this summer fishing snakes from all the fishponds there are on the property. I have 3 and in Mothers garden there are also 3 fishponds. From the big fishpond which is at the back of the garden, Michael got already 14, all sizes and different colors, actually very pretty. We bring them to the neighbour who has a big organic avocado plantation with also a bit of water, they can go there to hunt.
In the afternoons I am always on the computer. I am nearly ready with checking all the pages of my 2 websites. When one looks at these pages after a long time the things one sees, dear me.
