How Long Does It Take To Build A Website

Hello everyone!

I've been working long hours creating more content for my website (s), and of course writing comments on your websites and sharing my website on Social Media... lot's to do every day!

My to do list to work on every day is long, but I really like to work on each one of the tasks to build my website.

I just looked at a cartoon on Social Media and it took me to the day I was learning how to work on a computer, I had no idea what a mouse was and where and how should I turn a computer on and off.

The cartoon is in French, but it says: I have the mouse and I closed the window, what should I do next?

To build a website takes time and knowledge, the same happened to me when I first started here at WA, I had no idea what a plugin was, or a keyword or a link.

And if I tell you that I didn't know anything about affiliate marketing and how it works, you might think, "Oh, my"

But we all have started that way, and every day we all learn new things and we all get used to work with new tools and build up amazing websites that within time they will turn into a successful business for each one of us.

Whenever I don't know how something works, and I need to get it to work for my website, I just take a moment to relax and think about those days when I used to know so little about computers, blogs, valuable content, clients and affiliate marketing and I tell myself.

Just keep at it, and it will get easier for you!

So, keep at it, and keep working on your website, it will get easier and better!

Good comments! Yes, I started out just like you. I was clueless. I have learned a lot and keep finding more things that I need to learn. However, here's a positive point: All this learning will keep the brain active and healthy, so we are guarding against dementia. In my case, this is a very good thing.

Keep up the good work!

We are in a place where we can learn all we need to build a Website.

Derek

Thank you Alejandra,
I need the words of encouragement I needed them today
your friend Sandy

Thanks for sharing, Alejandra.

I thank you.

You're welcome.

Great post and cute cartoon. We all need reminding from time to time how we all first started but things do get easier as time goes on and things come naturally as time goes on. But we do have to keep at it until it becomes 2nd nature to us all.

Mary

Great post and love the cartoon lol. Like you sometimes I need to remind myself of how much I've learned rather than how much I still haven't mastered. Always a work in progress!

Thank you for the encouragement. It really do take hard work, but what is easy never turns out to be good anyway. Thank for posting.

I was the same way. 3 or 4 years ago I decided I wanted to write a blog. I spent numerous hours on youtube and set up a site. I am now learning so much I am cleaning that site up.

But I knew nothing and had no support to set it up.

I did it though and with the support here on WA anyone can accomplish anything with patience and hard work.

Thanks for the post. I enjoyed it

Laura

Good evening Alejandra,

Nice to see you again after quite awhile. Now, after more than one and a half year I know I have learned a lot. I have learned a lot in a field which does not really interested me in the beginning. I am more a nature type of person. Often I wanted to throw the computer out of the window, but hey, computer and me, we are still together.
Some time ago I asked you to get me a nice Pinterest pin with one of your quilts, I want to put it on my board, My Organic Spanish Farm, remember?
Thank you for the nice post.

Hasta Pronto, Taetske

Great post, Alejandra. We were in the same state of ignorance as you when we joined WA earlier this year. While we have learned so much over the past few months, there is still so much we don't know and our learning curve is still practically vertical.
We are firm believers in trying to resolve problems ourselves as we think this is the best way to learn and having a site rubix test website has been a huge benefit in this regard. The ability to try things out without the risk of breaking our main website is very liberating.
But, when all else has failed, we have reached out for help and this amazing WA community has never let us down.
Colette and Philip
