Today I want to share some points that will help you to know if you're working on the right path while you work to build up your own online business, these points are taken from my notebook as I keep track of what I like or dont like from working on my website.
6 Years Ago I Signed Up To Wealthy Affiliate
At the beginning, I was not good at all for everything that is in on an online business, to be honest, I'd been blogging for a couple of years but I didn't know anything about how to do it the right way.
On the first day doing the training here at WA, I was a complete beginner, and if you add to it, that English is my second language, I knew little about the digital business language.
In one word, I didn't know anything about Keywords, Wordpress, Affiliate Marketing, Bots, blogs or menus.
The first thought I got was to quit, but my husband just told me - don't quit, keep at it and it will get better!
6 Years Learning and Building Up My Own Website With Wealthy Affiliate.
1 - Building Up Your First Website Might Be Like 5000 Piece Puzzles
At the beginning, many won't have any idea what to work on first and how to get everything to work well.
Solution - Do Wealthy Affiliate Training, and work on your website step by step.
The training has helped many of us to build up a nice and strong websites that are making lots of money for their owners.
As a puzzle, finding the first piece might take you few days and even a few weeks, but as you keep working on it, finding the right piece will be easier.
2 - Learn, learn, and learn a little bit more
When I started working on my own website on my niche, I used to think I was a pro on my niche.
My first blog post didn't get as many visits as I was hoping for.
Learning about how to get the best keywords to write new content, opened a door that has helped my website to do better.
Another thing that has helped me to keep building up my website is learning about my niche.
- What is relevant on my niche
- What problems people have on my niche
- What language to use for my target client
- Who are the main websites on my niche
- Where can I find my target client - What Social Media platforms they use and how they use them
The more you learn on your niche, it will help you to write better content for your website, and it will help you to get more visits.
3 - Write One New Post At A Time
Stop worrying about you're a bad blogger and you don't do things right!
Write your new posts on your own style, be you, enjoy the moment, and most of all, write one post at a time, whether is good or not, it will get done and you're helping your website to grow well.
4 - Remember Why You're Writing Your Own Website
Whether it is for a business or to share what you do, there is a reason why you started and it will help you to keep working on it.
Don't forget every website started with post #1, as you keep working on your website, you will find more websites on your niche with tons of posts on them.
Don't look as a lack of opportunity for you, if they are working that hard, that means your niche is worth to keep working on it.
Enjoy the moment as you write a new post for your website, do your best, it doesn't need to be perfect, and always remember to help your audience.
5 - When You Look Back, Feel Proud Of Yourself
Bloggin or becoming an affiliate marketer is a new career for many, nobody was born being a master doing it.
Whether your website has the first 5 post on it or if you have reached 100, 200 or even 500 posts on it, feel proud of your own work.
Building up a successful website takes time to master the job.
We all see many new websites on the internet every single day, and many will be on your own niche, but just a few will become a success story, and you can be one of them!
6 - Learn From The Masters
Once again, we all are so lucky to have not one master from who we can learn here at Wealthy Affiliate, we have many: Kyle, Carson, Jay, and many, many more, the list is endless.
No matter what problem you're facing up today as you work on your website, there is someone who is willing to give you a hand to solve out that problem and you will learn from he/she.
7 - Try New Things
One good thing about working on your own website as your own business, is the opportunity to try new things.
The cost of trying new things is not as high as on a regular business, and you can get results fast, this will help you to know if you're on the right path or not.
8 - Have Fun
Having fun as you keep working on your own website, will help you to enjoy every step you work on.
When you're having fun, your audience will notice it, nobody wants to read a new post from someone who hates what they do.
When you're having fun while writing a new post, your reader will notice it!
We all know well there are many problems in life and we will face many challenges in our lives, but we have been told that a smile will make things easier.
9 - Give Your Website Time To Grow
Any business will need time to grow, and the same goes about websites!
If you're looking for a way to start making lots of money with your website the next day, or the next week, then Wealthy Affiliate might not be for you, sorry!
You might need to keep working on your website for weeks, months and even for a few years... but it is worth all the work you put on it!

I think giving your website time to grow is the most important and hardest to do. Thanks for all the good pointers
I also think that is the hardest, as many of us want to see our websites starting to achieve some goals as soon as we publish some content on it, but every business takes its time to mature.
As we keep working on it, it will get better!
Thank you for reminding me to have fun while building my website. Sometimes I do forget the fun part while working on my website and get all tensed up especially when things don't seem to be going right.
It happened to me, when I started I used to feel myself so tensed just about thinking to write a new post, today I really enjoy the work I'm doing.
