Cooking Dinner And Writing A New Post at the same time, might be not a good idea!

Hello everyone!

Hope you're all doing great and keep working on your websites!

Yesterday started as normal, I did some work related to my websites early in the morning, and as every day, I had in my mind to write a new post, this time it will be for my new website and the framework was already done, so it was going to be easy work to do, I had to write more on each subtitle.

Lately, I have changed the way I write new posts, instead of writing them on my laptop, I use my IPad to do the typing, as it can be taken anywhere and it helps me to get of the chair and be standing one or two hours.

Use Any Free Time You Have To Write A New Post For Your Website

When it was about time to cook lunch, I went downstairs to the kitchen and I prepared some vegetables to make a salad, while the potatoes were boiling, I started to write on the new post, I set up the stove alarm, so I don't miss the cooking time.

At the same time, I started the oven, to give it time to reach the right temperature to put the chicken to be cooked, I went back to writing,

When the potatoes were done, I made the salad and I put the chicken in the oven, I thought about the cooking time, so I had some more time to write a few more words on the new post.

Later, I heard my husband get home, but I took a look to the stove watch and I still had some writing time.

When I noticed, I could write over a thousand words on the new post, at that moment, I thought everything was going good... then I smell something that told me that something was not too good!

Yes, your guess is right, the chicken was almost burn!!!

I got so into writing the new post, and everything was working great, that I forgot to set the stove alarm for the chicken!!

Oh well, that can happens! Next time I will check twice to set up the stove alarm for everything I'm cooking, in case I'm writing a new post at the same time.

The only excuse I have for this is, as a website owner, I need to use any spare time to write a new post, and as I'm in charge of cooking at home, I know there is a lot of waiting time while cooking!

Anyway, I hope it doesn't happen again, but the new post looks good to be published today!

Take care and keep working on your websites.

Thanks for reading my new blog, give it a like and leave a comment!

Alejandra.

Now, that's multitasking to the extreme. I have done the same thing, so don't feel bad. I'll start something cooking and come in to the computer to get a little more done before the food is ready. And, just as you did, will forget everything else, and voila! A burned meal!

Things like this can happen all the time, Alejandra! I have burned a hambuer or three when I start it cooking and then get carried away on the computer!

Jeff

Thanks Jeff, it’s good to know I’m not the only one that has burn the lunch.
Have a great day!

You bet, Alejandra! You'd be surprised how often that truly does happen, my friend.

I did! I hope that you did, as well!

Jeff

We always learn from our mistakes. I have had a similar experience before. Thank God the lesson is learned.

Yes, it’s true, next time I will pay more attention to set up the stove alarm, or just do one thing at a time.

Been there, done that. You aren't alone. Now I theoretically don't let myself sit at my computer if I am cooking something I need to pay attn to, but just this morning the smell of very brown almonds roasting in the toaster oven wafted from the kitchen through the dining room, the hallway, and the living room into the home office.

Thanks Rosana, and yes, I’m not alone on this, but I will pay more attention to what I’m doing, time pass so fast when we are writing a new post for our websites.

Chicken Flambé, lol.
Sounds like one of my cooking attempts..
Stephen

Lol, yes it was Chicken Flambé, but oh well, it can happens
Thank you Stephen!
