Branding Your Niche Site will help your followers and clients to find you anywhere on the internet!

Hello everyone!

January 2021 is here now, and I'm back working on my websites, and as many of you, I like to get everything under control, but it's not easy to keep everything working good.

Today I will start sharing a bad Christmas present from the Universe!

It was Christmas morning and I woke up early, as we are only two persons living in this house, we had to cancel all Christmas gatherings because of the pandemic, so I had free time to check on the computer before we had a Christmas breakfast, then it happened a power outbreak... twice!

When power came back I noticed my computer didn't start on at all, it took me a couple of hours to get it back but all the software I used to use to do the branding for my websites was gone!

That moment I thought -What? What a niche Christmas present!

I lost the software I had been using to create all the branding images for my websites in one moment!

The first thought was to buy it online and get it... up to $200 US dollars yearly and who knows how many up sales on the way!

You might be wondering what did I use to do on it?

Well, I got used to taking my own photographs to I had to work on photo shop to get every photo good for my websites and to share them on my websites.

Then I worked on the same photo shop to create the feature image and the Pin for Pinterest for every new post for my websites.

After a few hours of panic and to think about another alternative to photo shop, my husband who is always ready to find a solution to my panic moments, told me about a few FREE softwares are an alternative to photo shop.

I started to check on each one of those alternatives and the best of them at the end are not for FREE, you need to pay for them, but they are a better deal!

The big "Con" was I will buy one of them, and then I will need some time to learn how to work on it!

As I was working on "what to do", I remembered I had Procrearte on my IPad, so I started to play on it to create a new feature image and a new Pin for Pinterest.

Voila... two days after - It works amazing!

If you're still here with me I will share how I do the feature image for my niche site.

Why Is Important To Brand Your Niche Site

As you start working on your niche site, taking time to learn how to brand your website will pay off in the long term.

You will need to work to get:

  • A color palette for your website

A color palette will help your followers to identify you as a brand, there are some colors that go better with certain niches, as blue is for trust, green is for ecological niches, yellow might go well with "feel better" niches or for young children niche ideas, violet or purple will go good with any spiritual niche idea.

  • Your website logo

We learn here at Wealthy Affiliate why is important to work on designing a good logo for our website, as it will help your clients and followers to find you as they look for information about a new topic in your niche.

  • Brand Your Website

As you share the same feature image for your website, just changing the image and the title on each post image, your website will look more professional.

Now, let me share an idea for your website feature image.

First you will need to find the width of your blog, so you can make the feature image to fit good on your blog.

This is only an idea for a feature image for a website, you can design it as your personal design and make it good for your website.

But I share the important information to share: Blog post title (keyword), below the title you can also add why this post will help your readers.

A good image is worth a thousand words, adding a good picture will help people to click on it and read your website.

On the bottom be sure to add your website logo and your website URL

Below you can take a look how the feature image might look when you add the title and the image.

(as this only a sample, it doesn't have any logo on it)

This feature image is only an idea, I'm not on the gardening niche.

You can also add some decorative points as the white zigzag line at the end. I've seen a few feature images with this idea.

I hope this blog can help you to design your own feature images for your website and it gets more traffic as you keep working on it.

I'm happy with the results of working with Procrearte, this is an app for the IPad and it only cost about $15 (US) and you can create anything you need for your website.

To get the pictures ready for an image for my website, I'm also using a free image app on the IPad

I've been working on Procreate for a few months, at the beginning it looked quite difficult for me, but now I just love how it works.

Jay also has mentioned Canva.com to create your website images, but I never got used to it.

Hope you find helpful this blog, let me know what you think about creating your website feature images with this idea.

Thanks for reading my blog today!

Alejandra.

Good Morning Alejandra,

What an irritating happening. I can imagine how upset you were. Great to hear you got it fixed again. I would have been utterly lost and there are quite a few things I do not understand.

Here in Spain we had Filomena, a huge storm sweeping the country. A big tromba de agua Tuesday evening and since then it has only been a sunny day on Saturday. Friday we came home in the later morning after a trip to the coast delivering oranges in the storm when we find out there is no electricidad. 28 hours till it was fixed. Friday evening sitting with candles, fireplace, and red wine. I was worried about all the food in the deep freezer, but we got it back just on time. Senor Antonio, the electricista, had been working from 08.00 till 14.45. What a relief.
The middle and north of the country had extreme snow fall, in Madrid the people were skiing.

Back to work, the year has started.

Hasta Pronto, Abrazo,

Taetske

Hmmmm, never heard of Procreate. I did just buy Photoshop Elements again. I like it, it has what I need and it was a good price on Black Friday. I'm glad you did find one you liked too. I certainly would have gone crazy. LOL

~Debbi

I think I will check on Photoshop and see if they have a good offer anytime soon, as I really like working with it. And that way I will keep Procrearte as a back up.
Thank you Debbi.

Never heard of----oh never mind!

Really??????? 🙄🙄🙄🙄

😲🙀

Once again you and I are on the same wavelength! I've used PSE since version 3. Am on a much more recent one now.

Yeah, I just bought the newest version. The old one was fine but when I got a new computer, the forgot to transfer the program and I lost it.

Some very good info here, Alejandra!

Jeff

Thank you Jeff!

You're welcome, Alejandra!

Thanks for the tip. I am going to check it out. Graphics and site images are not my forte.

Great advice Alejandra. I have tried to adopt this approach.

Happy & Above all, a healthy new year to you.

Best Regards,

Trevor

It took me a few years of blogging to understand why branding a website is the best thing you can do for an online business, and it’s not too difficult to work on it, once you design the feature image and get the colour palette for your website.
Best regards to you too.
