The Best Strategy To Build Up Your Website can help you to take a small blog nobody reads, into a strong website that will make money for you!

Hello everyone,

Today I will talk about what I've been doing on an old and ugly blog nobody was reading one year ago.

If you have been here at Wealthy Affiliate for some time, you might know I used to write about making quilts with two websites: one in English and one in Spanish.

I was working on both websites at the same time for a few years with poor results.

This blog might sounds like the story of the Ugly Duckling and how it turned to be a beautiful swan.

What Not To Do On A Website

I made many mistakes:

• No SEO
• Not following Wealthy Affiliate Training - I used to think I knew a lot about blogging :(
• Writing post for myself - I didn't know who was my target client

Over hundred post on both sites with just 10 or 15 visits per day - Yes I know, that was a "Oh my, I'm not a good blogger at all!

Tired of getting poor results, I got the brilliant idea to start all over again, yes with a new website!

So after a talk with my husband, (my best business supporter) he gave me the green light, that was how my main niche site was born that day.

This time I thought about following WA training as I started to work on this new site, and forget everything about those two quilting sites.

As you know if you have been reading my last year blogs here, I got help from my husband and also from Jay as a personal coach, and this website is growing good and strong.

What To Do On A Website

But I still have those two quilting sites in my heart.

Let's say about 7 or 8 months ago I decided to keep working on them at the same time, but this time with a website plan to work on.

I worked on these two websites with everything I re-learn again, as new websites.

• My target client needs are first
• Write new posts my target client is currently looking for on Google
• Learn from my competition - what they are doing that works good for them.
• Do SEO on each post
• Get better images for each post
• Learn some about copy writing
• Give time to these websites to mature
• Trust the system

2021 is here and I can see some good results!

If you have read my last blog, I talked about my main website hit by the last Google update hard, but I could notice that these two quilting sites are doing much better.

After 7 or 8 months working on these two both sites I can see better results on them.

English Website

• It went from 5 to 10 visits per day to 50 to 60 visits per day and some days it can get up to 80 visits.
• It's getting organic comments from people who like my posts and thanking me for sharing good ideas and tips

Spanish Website

• It has been working pretty good on traffic, from 20 to 30 visits per day to 60 to 80 visits per day and this past week grew up to 90 visits per day and these last two days it hit over 100 visits per day.
• Posts are getting good number of shares on Social Media.

YouTube Channel Results

With the change of editorial calendar, my channel has been growing good, and it's only 10 shy from reaching the amazing number of 7K followers

I also found out I can monetize it now!!

What To Do Next

I see the difference from blogging like a hobby with no goal and no direction at all, to what a small blog can do when you work on it with the knowledge WA training gives you.

An ugly small blog can turn into a website people get to know as a reference website on your niche.

My tip for you here could be, if you're tired of getting poor results, take time to study your website, go again on the WA training, ask for help here in the community.

Work on your website with a plan, for a few months, no less than 6 months.

After working on creating new content for your website, you will see some different results.

Take always a period of time, (2 or 3 months) to see some results, if your website is still doing the same, think about a different strategy, if you see your website is starting to do better, keep at it and learn more here at WA.

Get your website Google Analytics and from Search Console as a reference and not as something that tells you that you're bad at it.

Learn from it and do some changes, then learn from the results you get.

Give your website and yourself one year to work on it.

My Spanish Website Goal For 2021

• Monetize it
• Grow the traffic to reach 200 to 300 daily visits
• Get 2 or 3 products for sale with my own designs.

As you can see, I'll be busy working on this website, but I will keep you informed on how it goes.
