The Best Social Media To Get Traffic to your website.

Hi everyone,

Weather is getting fresher here in Canada and this helps me to remember in a few weeks we will be celebrating the Holidays, and with it comes many websites that will be making money for us a few weeks before.

You might be like me, working hard and smart to make your website get as much traffic as you can, we all learn here the right use of keywords and SEO on each new post we share so our websites can get a good number of organic searches.

But we should not forget to share our websites content on Social Media to get as much traffic as we can.

Which Social Media Works Better To Drive Traffic to A Website?

We all know there are many different Social Media platforms that we can use to share our websites content, but the one that will work better for your website is where your client is.

Not all Social Media platforms are created for the same people, some are created to just meet new friends and share fun stuff, but some are created to help entrepreneurs to grow their off and online business.

I won't talk much about all the platforms here, as you might know more than me about this topic.

Today I just want to share which platform is working better for my niche, at home, you need to find which platform will work better for your niche, find where your client is and you will get good results by sharing your content there.

Pinterest VS Facebook, which works better.

I will just say my niche is about crafts and my clients are mostly women in their 40's, 50's and 60's.

(The more you know about your client, it will help you to get better results)

Based on who is my client, I know they like to use Pinterest and Facebook.

After having worked on this blog for a few years, today I can see how well or not a post is working.

This year, after watching Jay's training about Pinterest, I changed the way I used to make the Pins to share on Pinterest and I see they are getting better results.

If you're interested to use Pinterest to share your website, it would be a good idea to watch Jay's training.

Be sure to use each post keywords and write a good copy for each pin, these two points will help to get more re-pins to your pins.

I also changed a little the way I used to share my posts on Facebook, today I use more my keywords and I changed the way I used to write my copy.

After a few months, here is the results:

As you can see, Pinterest gets better results.

Pinterest Pros:

  • A pin can keep working good in time.
  • You work one day to create a new Pin and share it on Pinterest and it can be still working weeks, months and even some years later.
  • You can create new pins for old post and they will do great too.
  • It works like a search engine, so you can use any keyword to find any pin, no matter if it is a new one or an old one.

Facebook Cons:

  • A new post on here won't last long, you share one day and it can be hard to find again later.
  • Successful posts here can do really well, but it will not get more success later as it's hard to find it again.
  • It's not a search engine and it's hard to use keywords to find an old post.

After studying these results, I will work more on Pinterest!

If one of your Pins starts to work great, it can drive traffic to your website every single day!

I can say, I have two posts working really good and I see they both get amazing amount of traffic every day to my website.

Which is your favorite Social Media platform to get traffic to your website?

Are you using Pinterest or Facebook to get traffic to your website?

Good afternoon Alejandra.

Lately my pins on Pinterest are not doing well and FB has a more positive result.
I think I will change the look of my pins, perhaps the people are tired of seeing me.
Great to hear you are doing so well.

Greetings from the south of Spain,

Taetske

Hello Alejandre,

Love the way tis set out and most useful!! Hoever what I admire most is that it is founded on actual experience backed by trial evidence, through diligent honest effort and thus a genuine wish to help others.

A genuine bow to you my lady and long may you prosper (apologies been running some outer space articles!! lols;)

Happy Sunday!!;

R.

Some good content to think about.! I guess we cannot use Amazon affiliate links on Pinterest, right?

So its the keywords that bring the traffic. Can I assume you use creative captions and images on your pins too to get people curious and interested?

Thanks

I think if you share affiliate links on Pinterest, you need to mention it, but Pinterest will be not too happy about it.

A better idea is to share your Pins with no affiliate links but with your website links and get traffic to your website where you have money posts. This is how I do, I share links to money posts and also to info posts.

Yes, you need to create your pins and save them with your keywords, and when you share your pins on Pinterest, your keywords should be on the Pin's title and description.
By doing this, it will help people interested on your keyword will find your pins and will visit your website.

I thank you.

Your additional explanation is very helpful.

Thank you very much

I agree with you with everything you say. It makes a lot of sense and thank you for posting the link. I really wanted to learn more about traffic through Pinterest. 😊

I thank you.
Jay has a great training on Pinterest this year!

Thank you very much for sharing
