Yesterday I got 5K Followers On YouTube! My YouTube channel is growing good!

When I started to work on blogging about what I love to make (Quilts) little did I know about:
- Online business
- Blogging business
- Become an online entrepreneur
- Become an affiliate marketer
How To Grow Your Own YouTube Channel
I started this YouTube channel a few years ago, and it became soon a total fail!
- Short videos
- No idea of keywords'
- No idea of what my business was at all
- No followers - Zero! Nada! Rien!
This channel was left alone and for a few years I thought it wasn't important at all to have a YouTube channel for a blog.
I don't remember how or why I started to work on it again. Little by little I got a better camera and a tripod to make new videos, I think by this time I got about less than 100 followers!
My first 100 followers!
A few videos later made with them (my followers in mind) made my channel to get its first 100 followers, I couldn't belive that!
You Need To Get 1,000 Followers!
One day I got one video of 10 + minutes and YouTube told me I was not allowed to upload a video 10+ minutes with less than 1,000 followers!
That was my first challenge, keep working on videos for your followers until you get that first goal!
I think it took me around one year to work on that, the reason:
- Poor keywords' knowledge leads to nobody will watch your videos!
Lesson learned now, YouTube as your website needs the best keywords' to work good!
If you're a beginner and you want to start working on your own channel, take the time to learn about how to make videos your audience is currently looking for.
Making videos about things you love won't help your business to grow good and fast if your audience is not interested on those topics.

Where to Add Those Keywords To Grow A YouTube Channel
- Title
- Description
- Tags
Some videos are made with your own voice and some are made with music.
In case, you work on your videos with your voice and talking about each video topic, the first 30 seconds are Important!
- Say clear and out loud your keyword!
- Tell your followers why it is important to watch your video
- Helps your followers to solve a particular problem!
If you don't work on that, the person who is watching your video will look for the next one on the suggested videos list on the right!
Bye, bye, you just lost a follower!
Make A Series Of Videos
When you're working to build up an online business, you need to work on keeping that client or target client more time on your website or on your channel.
One person will watch your video, but if you don't have a video 2 to watch on that topic - Puff, that person will look for someone else to know more about the topic!
Help Your Target Client (Follower) About Your Online Business
More and more people are working hard to grow a big audience or followers on YouTube to monetize their channel.
It works great for many of them, and many are making lots of money from there.
But, what we all learn here at Wealthy Affiliate, our business is our website! You own your website and you can make money from it when you build up a solid online business.
Monetize your own YouTube channel is OK, don't get me wrong and I have that plan on my list. But I don't want to focus only on this way to make money online.
If you work hard to grow your audience and something goes bad, from one moment to the next your channel can vanish!
I've seen that a few times:
- Rules can change
- Someone can say something bad about your channel to YouTube
- Your channel can get hacked
Take your time to know about YouTube rules and work on your channel to help others to solve a particular problem or to have a better life.

YouTube works really good and it's easy for you to check every day how well or not your channel is doing.
You will learn what video gets more views, likes and comments, and this will help you to know what your followers want to learn from you. Keep at it!
Know how many hours view your channel has, it needs 4,000 hours to monetize a channel in one year!
(my channel is not ready to reach those hours yet!, Still working on that!)
You can Share Links On The Video Description!
One way to drive more traffic to your website is by sharing your website link or your website posts links on the description on every video.
You're allowed also to share affiliate links here too, and it works great too!

Answer Comments On Your Videos!
Write a few words to answer and thank every comment - YouTube also takes notice from who works on it and who doesn't.
The more interaction with your followers, YouTube will allow more people to see your videos on the list!
There Are Many YouTubers In Many Languages!
As here at Weatlhy Affiliate we all have Kyle, Carson, Jay and many of you to help us to grow our online business with the best training and information, you can also find a good youtuber that can help you to grow your channel better and faster.
If you're good at English, you won't have any problem to find a good one, but if English is your second language, find one that speaks in your own language.
A year ago, more or less, I found one in Spanish.

He is a crazy guy, but he knows a lot about online business, SEO and YouTube channels.
I started to follow him and it helped me to grow my channel in a few months.
Today my channel is growing fast, from those first 1,000 followers to reach 5K, it happened just in a few months of good work!
My website is getting more traffic, comments and I'm happy to keep working on it!

Hi Alejandra, thanks for sharing your personal experience with us. It is inspirational. I have a channel and know how hard to reach 5000 subscribers. I have been working on my channel for more than 6 months now and I have only 50 subscribers. Of course, I will continue to work on it. Never give up.

Yes, don't give up, YouTube is part of our business, it's not easy to work on it for many, it takes time.
Those 50 subscribers are the hardest to get, later it will be easier, that happened to me!

My channel is about making quilts and Spanish, I’m working to grow a good audience on a niche on Spanish, it started slow, but this year has been working better, I’m getting more likes and more comments.
I was wondering why with 5K I have so poor number on hours watched, but this could be about the topics I made my videos, lately I’m working on what my followers wants to watch or want to make, let’s see how it works on 2 or 3 next months.
I’ll be sharing how it goes here on a future blog.

My channel is about quilting tips and it’s in Spanish! So I understand if I don’t get many followers, I’m working to open a new audiences in Spanish! I think there’s a good opportunity to grow a channel on that niche!
But I’ll be happy to help others to get likes and comments!
That sounds great! Commenting and watching may be difficult if we cannot understand and therefore not engage via comments, but what we can do is, we can still like the video and subscribe and in order to ensure you get the view time the video can be run in the background with the sound muted. So we can certainly help you out in this regard if you just make it clear in your post description what I mentioned others could do for you.
There is something very interesting here in regards to what you mentioned lol. I am running a quilting site. It is very funny though as I do not know much about embroidery lol and not really my interest at all, but this was a very accidental and circumstantial niche I fell into. I actually did a post on it lol. A Funny Niche That Is Making Me Money :) Although the fitness and "how to make money online niche" will be more my focus, I do run the embroidery niche on the side. I will private message you my embroidery site link, as you may find it interesting lol.
I started to work on this channel in Spanish as I feel more comfortable speaking on my mother tongue, and as I see there was a gap on the niche.
There are many quilters working in English and I saw Spanish speaking quilters were having problems to understand instructions and stories... there was an opportunity for me.
I thank you for the will of giving some comments, but at the moment looks like I broke the wall and comments are starting to get there, my followers look like they trust on me now and they feel comfortable to leave a comment, which is helping me to grow my channel.
I remember I read your post about A Funny Niche, when I read it, I thought, Wow, he knows what he is doing!
Glad to hear that things are going well for you in the Spanish embroidery community. Your YouTube channel will surely be a powerful marketing weapon in your arsenal.

Yes, Romuldo is a crazy guy, first time I saw him, I was about to push the off button, but he knows what he is doing, and being crazy is a way to stand out from the rest, he explain that in one of his videos, he has some videos where he is more calm.
He shares good tips to grow a business and he does a step by step tutorial,.
He also shows some of his websites, so anyone can visit them and learn about the layout and the SEO.
I'm happy about how my YouTube channel is working now, and I'm working on growing it a little bit more!
