Wondering what a good goal would be - not to short or not to long.
Yoast SEO indicates a 300 word minimum so I guess a 500-word minimum would be sufficient.
As you get more used to writing your blogs will probably get longer later.
I think around 1,000 to 1,500 words would be a pretty good blog post.
I know a lot of people say it doesn't matter as long as it's all quality. But to me, longer copy does matter. Just as long as it's helpful and optimized for Google.
Lately, I've been publishing posts that are no less than 2,000 words and it seems to be helping with the rankings.
it doesn't matter too much. Its all about creating quality content that answer questions people have.
What would be considered a good word count for a blog entry?

Thank you for the comments. I was thinking around 1000 words would be decent. I'm trying to get my first blog entries written and I was sure I had about 1000 words so I did a word count. Um, yeh....300 words. Ugh!
