11 months at WA - I Am Now Really Getting Into The Nitty Gritty
For the last 6 weeks I have unexpectedly had more time with which to develop my website, and I have concentrated on that and added more content, and focussed on further learning and am planning to increase traffic to my website. I aim to promote WA and have been trying to learn lessons from the Masters here in the WA Universe, how they do things, so as to be effective and successful.
It is almost the end of August, so soon I will have been on WA for 12 months, and have learned more here than anywhere else about the internet. Just reflecting on what has transpired during that time, with the benefit of hindsight I should have just focussed on WA, and not wasted time on the Shiny Objects which distracted me.
During the last 6 weeks I worked through Bo´s Gogetters training, which I had planned to start in February, which proved impossible owing to other work commitments. Now i have done Bo´s training and started to implement the lessons and the great advice contained therein.
My plan for September is to focus on Social Media. I have been doing quite a bit with Pinterest in an unstructured way and have seen how the visitor numbers can quickly increase. I need to learn how to most efficiently use Pinterest and work with it, as I enjoy using it more than the other Social Media, at the moment anyway.
I have also started to develop my Facebook profile, but am still not really sure whether I want to use FB or not. I dont feel so comfortable using it, and it is very hungry on time. What is Openbook all about? Is it worth investing time in that? I need to find out about Openbook.
Otherwise I need to use Google+ a lot more. I´m not sure about Twitter and whether that is the right medium for me.
I never seem to quite achieve as much as I set out to achieve, so need to tighten up on the day by day task scheduling and work planning.
Although I have learned a lot I have come to realise that I have an awful lot more to learn:-)

Yes- I find the same thing-the more I learn, the more I realize I don't know. Good news is that there is plenty of help available here at WA.
Like you, I am also strapped for time and have to focus my efforts on those tasks that are most important - writing content.
My process:
I usually have at least 2 topics in my content pipeline and strive to write one new post per week. I use my lunch hour to conduct research throughout the week and thinking through the layout of my upcoming posts. I then spend a few hours every night drafting up and revising my blog. By the end of the week, I've got my blog ready to post.
I have been surprised at how easy it is to write posts that are over 1000 words.
With the WP social add on plug ins it's pretty easy to get your posts out on the various social media platforms.
