Hello everyone.

A week ago I asked a question in WA regarding addition of FAQ in our search result. You can check this question here

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/search-engine-optimization/h...

I was very curious to learn about this feature. And, later I found that it can be done through google's feature called FAQ Schema.

How it can be done?

It can be done directly inside the Yoast SEO Plugin. Where you can simply write your questions and answers and they will appear in search result.

The other way to do it is to generate a code after adding all the FAQs and pasting it at the end of the PHP file. I created such code from Matthew Woodward's website and followed his instructions while pasting it in my website.

If you done something similar in AiOSEO, please let me know!

I've checked All-in-One SEO plugin, it seems FAQ feature is not available with this plugin.

If you have done something similar directly through AiOSEO, please let me know how!!

Cheers:)

Akshay

This is awesome information, I will file it for future reference. Thank you.

Here is a question to consider: if I have those questions and answers already in the snippet, why should I click and go to your site?

My guess is this could reduce CTR. Any comment?

But you have raised an interesting question. This is a relatively new thing introduced by Google last year.

Yes you're right.
Let's say if the content is already indexed in the first position or first page in Google, then it will help viewers to get their answers quickly and if they are curious to know more, they are more likely to click and read the article.
Also we can put some bait in our answers that will encourage them to click. 🙂

What would you use as the bait you mentioned? The problem is that the text in snippet's faq must be exactly the same as the corresponding section in the post

Ok.

Let's say the question is:
How to cancel XYZ policy?
Answer can be: You can cancel XYZ policy simply by sending an email or by giving a missed call to get a callback. Details are given below

That's it.
Take only this portion from the article as an answer.

Oh wow, super helpful, I have Yoast on one my website so I will try to add the FAQ and see. I will write a few questions and answers and then try it out.
Thank you for sharing.

Rose

Thanks Rose.
Google will surely fetch the most searched questions along with the search result.
I've experimented with it on my client's website and Google fetched all the 3 questions that I've written in the FAQ.

That is very smart! Marked as top

Thanks, Fleeky :)
