It Has Been Two Months Since I Graduated and I'm Already Over "Adulting"
I've always played by the rules, followed the "right" path, done what I thought I was supposed to. But here I am, 24 years old, two months after I graduated college, and I already know that this whole 9-5, working like a slave thing is not for me.
I have been at my big girl marketing job for about two months now and just handed in my resignation letter last Thursday. I was scared and anxious and nervous, but I was already unhappy, stressed out, working nights and weekends and barely making ends meet, so I knew it had to be done. The thought of going to another 9-5 job makes me want to cry and pull my hair out, so I have been researching online marketing jobs and work-from-wherever jobs and I came across Wealthy Affiliate. I did LOTS of research because there are so many scams out there... but I could not find one single bad thing about Wealthy Affiliate. I started out with the free account and about a week later upgraded to premium. I am ready to live my life the way I want to. I am ready to be my own boss. I am ready to take control of my life. I am ready to not fall victim to Corporate America.
So, here goes nothing!

There are so many people just so fed up of a 9 to 5 job. I am pleased that you made the decision to join up to WA. Keep adding content to your niche website and follow the training and have faith and patience, you can't go wrong. I just started 3 months ago and I am 24 to. All the best.
That's awesome that you came to this realization at such a young age. It's the mainstream thought process to think we need to go to school, earn a degree, and then work all the way to retirement.
Sadly, so many people out there have bought into this way of life and don't realize there are legit alternatives like WA...we need to do our part and spread the message :)
The best advice I can give you from personal experience is to follow the training here. Don't go chasing after other shiny objects like I did because everything you need to succeed online is right here with Wealthy Affiliate.

Best of luck to you in the transition away from corporate marketing. It can be a tough place to work for sure. You'll definitely have more autonomy working for yourself, but your mistakes will be less forgiving as well since you don't have anything to fall back on.
I only know as I've held onto my corporate marketing job and the amount of time I've put in here has certainly been profitable, but nearly as profitable as my 9-5.
That being said, I don't think I invested 2000+ hours or even close to it. Had I done that I'm sure I'd be much further along!

I've been here for about two weeks now and I am already so glad that I upgraded to Premium. The training is so worth it.
I am a bit older than you, but I have felt like you for a long long time. I am proud of you for making the commitment now. I was always so afraid, but you are at a prime time to go for it!!!
Keep committed to it, even if/when it gets hard and you don't feel like you can do it.
