This is how I insert WA Videos into My Content

Did you know that people consume more video than any other form of content?

Did you also know that you can share absolutely any material at WA, including videos?

It is for these two reasons that I try as much as possible to insert an appropriate video from here into my content.

As I’m already in SiteContent writing my content, I go to my WA dashboard in another window to look for a video.

I do the search in a new window because if I have to use the same window I’m on, I will first have to save my work in SiteContent and then come back to it later on to continue working. That will be a waste of time.

In the new window, I look for the video in two ways: Either I do a search for it or I click on training and on “Online Entrepreneur Certification” or “Affiliate Bootcamp”. Then on an appropriate phase and again an appropriate lesson where I check the videos within a section related to my post.

Having found the video I want, I take a screenshot of the image of it. This, I save on my hard disc under a name, which is the video title from Wealthy Affiliate.

Then I load the image into the appropriate place in my content being written and give it an alt description, which is what the video is about.

Now, I go back to the video whose image I had just loaded into my content and I click on “affiliate” down the video. This reveals my affiliate link attached to the video. I click on “Copy” and go back to SiteContent to paste the link into the “link related to the image” window. Then I check “Open in a new window”.

Now, I save and insert the video into my content.

When I publish my post, I get a video complete with image that one can click on to view in a new window just as here at WA.

I think this is more attractive for readers than just a video link with your affiliate link. *

In effect, you’re doing two things: trying to attract people with a video and an image. This is better than just a video link, if you know how reluctant people are clicking on links. **

And should anybody click on the video, like it and sign up, you will be credited with it because your affiliate link is embedded in the video link.

And you, do you have another way of inserting WA videos into your content? Thanks for the share or any comments.

*(N.B.: If you copy the video link in the window, it will not have your affiliate link in it.)

** For the sake of your audience, which are visual in nature, this gives them something unique to click on outside of just a button or a link.- Wealthy Affiliate Super Affiliate Challenge - 2019 and 2020 Edition, Month 2 tasks, Focus 4: Content Intent.

Very useful, Akoli, thanks for sharing, Alan

I'm happy you like it.

Good afternoon my friend, thank you for this information, much appreciate . May you have a wonderful Sunday.

Nadia27 just told me "But I think videos which are available for premium within WA will not be seen by non premium. People will click but they will not get access to the video. That's what I understood from Kyle's training. We can only share videos which are available for starter members."

Free start-ups have a week long full access to the platform and will be able to see the video.

Thank you for a very helpful post.

Best,
Alenka

Thanks for the clarification. The problem is the person wishing to watch before signing up.

Well, the aim of the post is for them to sign up, and hopefully they do. The only thing they need to do is to give up their email. If they are not prepared to do even that in exchange for some cool info, then they might not be the right match anyway.

You're right. You can force a horse to the riverside but you can't force it to drink.

Exactly.

I didn't know this. Thanks for the information.
