Content is the lifeblood of any online business, blogs not excepted, or, blogs being the most concerned.

But if there is any common denominator among newbie bloggers/affiliate marketers, it is that they have written blog posts that they thought people will flock to like moths to a bright light. But alas! No one is reading those posts.

Worse, the few reading the posts leave no comments, don’t like or share them. This keeps you sad.

Is there any solution to this problem? Yes, there is.

It was to find a solution to such a problem flagging my enthusiasm that I began Google search for possible solutions. And I found more than I could imagine. But here I give you the two I found most useful:

  1. Free eBook to download

This is called “How to Write the Perfect Blog Post” by Matthew Kaboomis Loomis.

Download the free 65-page eBook by clicking here.

But what I think you will find very useful and which you can start using straightaway is:

2. 5 free blogging templates (A publication of HubSpot)

The first is titled “Introduction & Instructions”. As the name suggests, it introduces you to the templates and gives instructions about how best to use them.

In the folder called “5 Essential Blog Post Templates Every Marketer Needs,” you’ll find the following 5 blog post templates to help you write great blog posts faster and easier:

    1. 1. The How-To Post
    2. 2. The List-Based Post
    3. 3. The Curated Post
    4. 4. The SlideShare Post
    5. 5. The Newsjack Post

    Each template includes:

    • Overview of the type of blog post;
    • All the steps you need to plan and write the post from start to finish;
    • Text boxes in which you can write your own notes or your blog post copy;
    • Other tips and recommendations; and, (very interestingly)
    • Links to examples of the blog post in question as a reference to inspire you.

Can HubSpot’s Templates Be Used with SiteContent Here at WA?

Any WA member using SiteContent will find that some ready-made templates are available there for writing your content. However, Kyle encourages us to create our own templates. It is in this vein that I’m telling you about the HubSpot template.

Due to internet connection problems, I write my content in MS Word before copying into SiteContent before publishing on my blog.

HubSpot advises you to write your content in expandable boxes incorporated into the templates and at the end copy them into Word before publishing on your blog platform.

Here at WA, we will have to add an extra step: write in the HubSpot template, copy into MS Word (this also serves as reference on your computer) and copy into SiteContent before publishing.

    Isn’t that too much hassle?

No. Sometimes the shortest route may turn out to be the worst.

One may ask, since the post is already written in the HubSpot template, can you just copy straight to your blog platform?

Are you not using SiteContent? – Then this is What You’re Missing

Yes, you can. But do you know what you’re missing by not using SiteContent?

I wasn’t using SiteConten too until SAC month 1 made me fully aware of its potential.

The first time I used it just under a month ago, I encountered problems. Instead of interpreting that as normal for an initial use of a menu, I thought SiteContent wasn’t so user-friendly.

One of the benefits of using the menu and the lack of which I’m paying a huge debt is optimized images. Images from our phones or around the web that we use in our posts are often not optimized and therefore too huge. These end up slowing down our websites. But despite their large sizes and clearness, SiteContent’s over 1,000,000 are optimized.

Other SiteContent features are grammar check, spelling check and double content check. Ah, double content! Did you know that Google doesn’t like them? And that you can get penalized for publishing such a content on your website?

The other day I had copied content copiously from a WA material to comment on. SiteConent refused to publish my post saying it was content copied from elsewhere around the web. My blog platform would have accepted it and make me victim to Google’s penalty.

My last point on this post is that you can even copy the HubSpot’s templates into SiteContent to have a template that you can use for writing your blog posts going forward.

Great post, Akoli, thanks for sharing, Alan.

    Thanks, AlanJE.

thank you , I will check it out

Certainly do. You will see that it can really change the way you write.

    Hi Akoli

Thank you for this valuable information and for the additional links - I will definitely check them out.

Templates are a huge help indeed!

Years ago I worked in a very competitive job. So I made a detailed template of ALL the possible points that needs to be addressed in the report, complete with formatting and reminders to myself for things that I should double-check, etc. With each report that I was writing, I would then complete the information, checking it against the reminders and making sure that I don't forget anything, addressing the relevant items and deleting those that were not related to that specific case. My reports were always of a very high standard, since I didn't have to rely on memory, I simply had to choose which points are relevant in each instance. It worked like a charm!

Therefore the reason why I am glad that you have included the link for the templates. Although WA provides templates and some of the Members have provided trainings with templates, it is always great to see what templates others are using and to adapt those to suit one's own style and need.

Wishing you an awesome day, Akoli!

    Hi Sharlee (ChocolateIceCream),

It's my pleasure to share valuable things around the internet with fellow members here. Is that not what blogging here and WA are all about?

Yes, templates are like magic. They help you accomplish things not only better but fast. Yes, when I was learning to write, itwas with 3 institutes at the same time. I also had books. So, I fused their templates into one which became my own.

I look forward to reading some of your blogs here, and why not, on your own blog too one day.

    Hi Akoli
Great to know there are so many like-minded template-lovers! ;-) Those links are great - thank you!
    Wishing you an awesome day/weekend!

    Enjoy your day too.

    That was a good share!
    Cheers?

I'm happy you liked it. That's all WA is about, helping one another.

Thanks so much for sharing this really valuable information!

    Wish you great success!
