What Box!? There's a Box!?
When I read the many exciting posts the WA Community is sharing and seeing all that this special community has accomplished and is accomplishing, I am reminded of one of my fraternity brothers during a fraternity cabinet meeting were having with our VP for Student Affair. The VP was a priest, but, of course,I attended an all-male Catholic college.
The VP priest was trying to motivate us to be original in preparing our approaches to the upcoming homecoming.
Father Wrigley, our VP priest, kept harping about "thinking outside the box". My frat brother looked puzzled and about 5 minutes into the priest's diatribe he looked at me, smiled his usual sarcastic smile -- he did not like Fr. Wrigley at all -- and then he dropped both hands onto the table to attract attention and bellowed out, "Box! What box? You mean there's a box!?"
Of course all of us burst into laughter, but the VP priest smiled and said, "Now that's the attitude! Why be 'boxed'in?"
It is not ironic that my fraternity brother later on developed an app and retired at the ripe old age of 37 a millionaire. For him even the concept of "box" was not within the realm of possibilities...and when I see and communicate with the WA Community they remind me of my fraternity brother who could not even CONCEIVE of a "box", let alone thinking outside of one.

Hi, truely a wonderful stroy. Irv. I was educated by the Jusuits. A tough bunch of priests. Irv.
Indeed...the spooky thing is that I almost became a Jesuit, but I met this beautiful redhead...and, well, you can figure out the rest...

Hi Arthur, when I finished my academic studies the Jesuits invited me to become a lecturer at the university.
Congratulations...that IS quite an honor...but I went to La Salle in Philadelphia which is operated by the Christian Brothers...I believe we BOTH received very fine educations...
Thanks for sharing this great success story. I guess your friend got the last laugh after all.
