Tales From The Crypt.Errr Matrix - Wednesday [Dark] Humor
Hello worldwide WA community and for those who keep track of the daily grind sequence, this one is called Wednesday, aka Hump Day, and for those gazing at the sky, it's also Full Moon.
So today we have a couple of tales from that crypt, or corporate matrix, aka workplace which are rather creepy, even though we're 2 1/2 moths away from Halloween.
Just when you thought that it couldn't get any weirder, the matrix strikes yet again this time using VR, as per the following article from Technology Review summarized below:
Virtual reality is gaining acceptance among managers as a training device, and one developer’s software allows leaders to hone their skills in firing subordinates, Technology Review says. Users are asked to confront the character “Barry” and attempt to let him go “without causing a scene.” If the manager is too brusque, Barry places his head in his hands, while other slip-ups provoke him to “shout and yell.” VR’s also increasingly pervasive in hiring circles: Companies like Chipotle and Walgreen use it to onboard new recruits.
The second tale was inspired by a crazed article in the so called New York Times, which basically says that if you dare dislike or even hate your job, the best solution is to fragment the pain it brings to you and that way you will love it.
So lt me get this ... let us say for example, if I am sad because I only have $5.00 in my pocket, if I somehow change that for five $1 bills [they would call them "accomplishments"], I will somehow feel better and be richer...and positively inspired. Voila, problem solved!

One has to wonder WHY are all of these outright crazed trends emanating from the crypt.
I have my own opinion on that.
It is because the matrix is broken, by design, and in order to cover up its demise and subsequent decay, it keeps on hitting you every time in a new spot.
That way, you will forget the prior blow you were dealt and replace it with a new one,
Wash, Rinse, Repeat.
