Boggeyed
Only just got up!! And I am totally boggeyed.
At about midnight last night I had a flash of genius, and thought that it was about time that I used the power of social media to drive up my visiter numbers.
On the surface of it, this was not a bad idea, as raising awareness is never a bad thing as we all know. It was just the timing of the revalation that can be called into doubt. You see I am the kind of beast that sees an opening and then can't resist trying it out. Then of course the initial trial, turns into full-on testing, which in turn lreads onto not being able to put it down untill exhaution.
So having found a likely profile within twitter that matched really well with my keyword search, I started to traul through around 3000 followers until I had hit the bottom profile. I had gained around 450 possible targets from the excercise. So in effect job done.
All that remains today is to begin working on that filtered list. But the whole process had absolutely fried my brain. Profile, after profile, after.................well you know where I am going with this.
Let's just hope that this midnight feast manages to fulfil the need that I recognised, and doesn't leave me with indegestion.
The morral of this story is; having great ideas is truly fantastic, but try to have your Genius moment at a more reasonable time.

Isn't' it weird how that happens? The mind is probably uncluttered at that time and the good ideas can pop in!
I always have aha moments in the middle of the night. Pen and pad always next on the headboard. Dog thinks I am nuts.
i always seem to have my best ideas right before bed.
maybe its because i'm not "trying" so hard? maybe its because i'm relaxed.? maybe because its quiet and there are less distractions from everyday life? maybe its a combination of all of that? who knows?
but i do the same thing. when an idea hits me, i get up and get right to it. or i at least write it down with some bullet points to make sure i get it done in the morning. but more times than not, i end up staying awake half the night and waking up with blurry eyes.
*** thank The Lord for coffee ***
=)
cheers!

Hey Ade. I think you are still half asleep from your late night/early morning brainstorming because I am fairly certain you aren't supposed to share your links in the WA blog post but are supposed to do it on your profile at the bottom where it says follow me.
Perhaps other members could chime in and let me know if I am correct.
Good luck with the social media :). It's a great idea!
