The Farmer, the Pastor, the Blogger Millionaire
I don't want to talk about people's lives I want to talk about myself in the context of my dreams.
My parents are farmers, they are still living as of the moment. They did not graduate from the elementary grade. They live from hand to mouth existence and I'm sure they will die with that kind of life they have come into from their birth.
They have ten children, five gentlemen and five ladies and we are all living.
Only two of us who were able to graduate from college due to deligence and determination.
I finished Bachelor of Arts, In 1986 I passed the eligibility test so I can work in any government, non-government and institutions that qualifies me.
I choose to pursue a calling which until now I'm engaged with, the Pastoral Ministry. I acquired Master of Divinity in 1996 in the Union Theological Seminary in Dasmarinas, Cavite, Philippines.
Is it Bad for a Pastor to Engaged in a Business?
I don't think so. If you people only know how Church Workers live you will understand me easily. Most of us live according to the riches of the congregation where we are assigned.
That's the very reason we choose what business to join with. It should be a legal, moral, and ethical.
Legal-no liabilities in any government and is permitted by any government.
Moral-a business that knows the bad and the good and always centers on the benefit of the general public
Ethical-a company who knows how to reflect and always geared for the upliftment of the needy. Not purely business but considers the human side asking the question is my business for the poor and marginalised or for the elite and the few. Will my business exploit?
Is Wealthy Affiliate In?
I believe so, the proof is I'm here joining and enjoying everything. So we should teach Wealthy Affiliate members not to become scammers. They should be people taught and influenced by the principles laid down by Wealthy Affiliate as legit, moral and ethical.
Once I saw promotions coming from WA in Facebook and it sounds and it appears as the scammers do so I commented and thank you that promotion never appeared again.
I Will Become a Millionaire
This is my dream and nobody can hinder me except me, myself. My guide to the realisation is Wealthy Affiliate.
I have already started receiving cents and part of the million has already been accomplished. I only have to continue.
I want Wealthy Affiliate to be happy that a farmer once, a current Pastor serving people, is becoming a millionaire.
I will also be happy to share the blessings to those who are in need as many of you are doing.
This dream is not too far, it's very near.

Yes, if God prospers us, we can help the needy because we know how bitter life is in one aspect.
I know the sacrifice that pastors have to make in order to serve God full time. You're right, the pastor's allowance will depend on how much his congregation can afford, and that is why before our pastors get ordained, our senior pastor asks them if they are willing to serve full time with or without allowance.
It's not a bad thing for pastors to get involved in business as long as it's legal. And while some Christians believe that living in poverty is one way of sharing in the sufferings of Jesus Christ, I have every reason to believe that God wants His children to live in abundance, not only spiritually but also materially, so they can be a blessing to others.
May the Lord bless your business so you can be a blessing to your congregation and to others.
Thank you Alysanna for your broad mind. I know you are instrumental in your own congregation in the proper education of what is a legal, moral and ethical business so both the Pastors and members will exemplify what is acceptable in our book of authority, the Bible.
That is all that really matters, doing everything by the "Book." And striving to do all things for God's glory, not for selfish gains.
Jimmy, That is a moving story. I truly wish you luck so that you can do good for yourself, the church, the poor, and maybe ease the burden on your parents.
If you can find some books (library?) Rabbi Daniel Lapin has a bunch of books out that speak of business from a biblical perspective. I find them interesting and thought provoking.

Hi, Jimmy. I really enjoyed reading your post. No, I don't think it's bad for a minister to have a job or a business.
My grandfather and both of my mother's grandfathers were unpaid ministers who farmed to support their families.
In later years, my Grandpa was a paid minister. After he had retired, small country churches kept calling him to pastor for them until they were able to hire new graduates from the Seminary.
Grandpa and Grandma were away preaching most of the time when I was growing up, and I mowed their lawn for them when I was a teenager.

Yes, I designed the logo which means Affiliate Marketing on the Web. The leaves speak of the greening of people's lives through affiliate online marketing, an alternative to offline employment that is becoming so selective and exploitative.
Awesome! I thought the leaves might represent the Trinity. I guess there's not reason it couldn't mean both!
