Our Mind and the Next Generation's Mind
When we write a thesis or a dissertation we always quote a part of a certain author and recognize in the footnotes. That is allowable and is not considered a plagiarism.
The problem here on the online writing is that even it is your own and you did not read any book or any material but it just so happen that your thoughts and ideas are in line with existing published authors, the algorithm says, your article is not original.
This is unfair for the generations coming after us. Ideas that come in our time may also come at the time of the coming generations without reading our minds.
If we try to see the articles of Wikipedia there are many parts of their publication which are not their own original yet they are accepted. How did they do that?
The online world has many things to fix in terms of fair treatment for everyone.

I understand your post having just experienced such an experience.but nothing is perfect and it may have been an exception to the rule.I also suspect there were other reasons.
You will experience it when you use the Site Content and when you post here. But I hope it will not happen to you.
I understand what you are saying. I don't know how they can get away with it on Wikipedia but if you find something that is plagiarized then you have the power and capability to edit it - become a Wikipedia contributor. I get that it may be hard to put things into your own words but I just restructure the sentence when I cannot reformat it very differently from the original author.
Thank you for accepting the fact that originality is how we put the ideas in our own view as inspired by other authors.
If Wikipedia can make it why can't we? Why are we flagged as copying if we recognize the authors?

Looking at that from a different angle, perhaps it is a push for us to pursue originality, however tough that may be. It is part of growth and improvement.
I do sympathize, though.

That's right, but how can we help those who wrote and are writing original and are being victimized by the algorithm saying their posts are not unique?
