When we are in a disastrous and catastrophic situation there is always a remedy that a community can respond and can bring resilience to the calamity victims.

I know it can happen here because we do not run out of experts and experienced members.

Here's the situation of my site's health as portrayed by WA algorithm.

My question is, why it continues to receive a decreasing bounce rate?

As of the moment bounce rate is at 5.10, and Google AdSense reports there are no violations made. In Google Search Console I have properly and successfully verified my ownership. Traffic is in a constant 15 to 20 visitors a day with an average session duration of 3.51.

What part could be problematic on this site?

I have already sent a call to Kyle more than 24 hours ago but no answers yet. Is this something to be worried about?

The lower the bounce rate, the better it is. Bounce rate simply means, people are not sticking to your site. They are bouncing immediately to other sites, either clicking back button, or clicking a link or banner on your site going to other sites.

Interesting, my site's bounce rate now is just 3. something.
I'm worried.

Don't be worried with bounce rate of 3. If there's a person who should be worried, it should be me. One of my sites that are hosted here, has a bounce rate of 60% which is relatively high. It means, there are a lot of people coming from WA visiting my site, and upon learning that it is about MLM (something most WA members do not like), they are leaving the site in a hurry! (lol)

I am wondering what will happen if it hits zero.

You cannot eliminate bounce rate. An average duration of 3.51 minutes means that they are reading your material. You could work on writing more engaging content and you can work on find better keywords, but you are always going to have a bounce rate.

Sales of any kind involve what is called a numbers game. The more people you drive to your site, the more will stick around to read your content, the more will buy.

That also means that the more people who come, the more who will read and not convert, the more who will come and not do anything but skims your content, the more who will read the headline and move on, and so on.

I don't know the average bounce rate you can expect in your niche. I do know that we are all going to have bounce rate.

I really wouldn't worry so much. 5 out of 10 seems to be a pretty high number. I know the average for sales, in general, is 27 out of 100, or 2.7 out of 10.

I hope this helps!

Thanks Anita for responding. I did ask the question because it is only this time of about two weeks that the bounce rates decreased from more than 50% down to that point.

Now know the reason, people just come but no products to buy and that's it because I really don't have a product as my niche.

Whether you sell anything or not, you are going to have bounce rate. I'm sure that rate is going to fluctuate with time. Hang in there. Keep writing and keep doing your lesson. Search for training that will increase your SEO and strengthen your writing skills. Then when you complete the core training, take all you have learned and start Bootcamp. Apply what you have learned and you will do great!

Unless I misunderstand the term, your bounce rate is the number of people that visit and leave as compared to the number of people that visit and then click around your site for a while. It measures your content's ability to capture there attention and keep them engaged. hope that helps.

What I understand is that a click is counted once anyone comes to my site and open it whether he will stay long or not, it's still a click. Do I understand it correctly Carl?

Wickipedia says "Bounce rate (sometimes confused with exit rate)[1] is an Internet marketing term used in web traffic analysis. It represents the percentage of visitors who enter the site and then leave ("bounce") rather than continuing to view other pages within the same site.

Bounce rate is a measure of the effectiveness of a website in encouraging visitors to continue with their visit. It is expressed as a percentage and represents the proportion of visits that end on the first page of the website that the visitor sees."

By this definition someone would come to your page via a keyword rich post and eventually make it to your home page; if they do not they are said to 'bounce'

Ok, let's talk about the keyword. If people are searching for a keyword they will just type that and it will appear in Google Search. If it happens that my post is the one that is appropriate for what they are searching then my post will be opened for them. And I think that would be enough because they have found my post for their keyword search. The only problem now is did my post answer their question? If it did then they must have read all through the end my post and they are satisfied.

However, if they are looking is about love and they come to my site, open it and it happens that it's not all about love but a business then they will leave. So I have the issue with a wrong domain name that does not carry the niche.
