Analytics vs AdSense

There is something that made me happy and I learned something different from what I know in my mind.

I have three sites. One is one year old, second is nine months old, and the third eight month old.

Of the three sites, one receives the highest traffic and others consequently lower. The peculiar thing I observed is that it is not necessarily that the one receives the highest traffic is making the greater income from AdSense.

Sometimes I get frustrated when my sites are receiving low traffic and in my mind how could these sites convert if they receive low traffic.

But I was so delighted last evening to see that the site with the least content posted is the one that converted the greater income.

Don't be fooled when I say income because none of my sites as of this time is earning a dollar a week. There was one time but I suspect due to the many changes I made in the ads it did not continue to increase rather it stagnated and at times never produced.

So what do I want to convey to you?

Don't be bothered when your site is receiving a low traffic just let it be there, that's the report of the Analytics but stay and keep your content added and for as long as you are linked to AdSense just wait for its report and you will be surprised that the least traffic site can produce the greater income you did not expect.

What did I learned?

One of my sites has more than two hundred posts. Yes, this is true because it's purely a religious site and I posted hymns, sermons, some of the happenings in the church.

What I want to state clearly here is that when we talk of content it's not of the quantity that you put in your site, but I think, in my presumption, because I cannot prove it and I still doubt what is in my impression. In fact my other site which has the least content has the greatest contribution in cents.

That the content we often discuss is the content that converts and that's the content which I don't know-

  • how it looks
  • what does it contain
  • how long is it

Maybe you can help out of your experiences which quality content should look, contain and how many words it should entail.

Hi I’m glad you took the time to post this because I’m having these thoughts and was wondering about the analytics, right now mine aren’t doing much. I’m working on content.
Thanks for sharing

I'll be interested, too, in what the community has to say about your questions, Jimmy. Thanks for sharing your experiences

if happen from website to website. In some Ad works better and others affiliate links. You need to find the sweet spot for the website.

In some sense it may be. But we just want to point out that we should not be worried about the report of Analytics that our site is receiving a low traffic while in fact it can earn income from Adsense from even just a single click.

Very interesting comparison. Thank you for sharing this. I have been busy writing content but have not been keeping in mind if my content converts. This is great. Thank you.

Yes, linking your site to Adsense is one of the lessons given to us.

I appreciate the insight, Jimmy. My smallest site generates the most Adsense revenue because I have several highly ranked pages that generate lots of comments (high number of comments to posts ratio).

Thank you Glen, the more you strengthened the things I am looking for about AdSense.

I would like to find a way to have pages that encourage people to interact on the idea, issue or problem presented.
