Alibaba Affiliate Program
Is there anyone of you who is aworking with Alibaba? I have signed up but I do not know what to do in product promotions.
Below is my homepage where the choices are:
The only choices are Buy and Sell, under each are the following:
- Manage orders
- Orders
- Contacts
- Request for quotation
- Products
- Company and Site
- Multi-language
Where could you find the product links for promotion?

Alibaba is not as clear cut as Amazon, it is used as a drop shipping platform. Go to https://service.alibaba.com/ensupplier/faq_detail/13009145.htm the information is explained here.
For Aliexpress you use Oberlo through Shopify. Further details if you go through their website.
Thank you, you are right, not like other affiliate programs that is clear in providing an affiliate link or product links for promotion.
From what I have read about the program in the past, it's much like Amazon's affiliate program. When you list products available from Alibaba (or Aliexpress) and visitor click and buy, you get a commission. They have a standard rate table like Amazon based on categories.
I see often plugins available where you can enter your affiliate id and the plugin displays products on your website. But, I haven't reviewed them yet.

I guess that is your normal account as a buyer or a seller. If you want to become a publisher/promoter, I guess you try out this link (https://ads.alibaba.com/welcome.htm) and find yourself with promotional banners, maybe products, etc.
I did register and was also not sure what to do until I came upon the affiliation program. When following the link you can register a new account for an affiliate program and just follow the instruction step by step.

I believe Alibaba is aimed more at the dropshipping community Jimmy. It is not the same as other affiliate sites you may join.
The way I understand it is you advertise a product and set a price, someone buys that product from your site and you forward the order to Alibaba with the customer details and the price they charge for it.
They handle the product being sent to the customer. That is as far as I got when I was looking into drop shipping.

Have you thought about using the AliExpress program instead? It's pretty easy! It's listed on the Affiliate Programs tab.
Yes, I have just applied, Jean. I think AliExpress and Alibaba are one.
Yes and no. They are different parts of the same company, but those differences are quite important.
