The video on setting up Google Adwords PPC tracking is out of date. When I pasted in the code generated by Google I got a message 'invalid tracking code'

My problem, though, is not setting up the conversion tracking in Adwords, it's applying the conversion tracking code to the PPC tracking screen in WA.
If WA is no longer doing the conversion tracking that's fine, but I just need confirmation so I can set up tracking elsewhere.

Yes - that's the training that's out of date. The code that he refers to in that training (which was done in 2014) is no longer the code that is generated by Adwords. Applying the new code generates the invalid tracking code message in WA.

The problem is that the code that Google generates in that article is out of date.
Google is forcing everyone to use the tag manager and related code, so the code that's output today is rejected by WA is invalid code.
I've no problem with setting up tracking in Adwords, the problem is inserting it into the tracking screen in WA.
I sent a PM to Kyle on Friday asking whether the WA guide is going to be updated - it needs to take account of the code that Google now outputs.
Hopefully I'll get a response soon.

I had this problem last night and thought I fixed it by saving my blog, clicking Cancel, and the retrieving my draft and posting - but that was luck :)

You are only allowed one blog per day the first 90 days you are a member. I see you posted on 8/21 - if that occurred after 8 p.m. EDT, you will need to wait until after 8 p.m. EDT tonight to post another.

Also, sometimes the system is just too busy ... In this case you can try a few minutes later by publishing the automatically saved draft
