No More Regrets

If I could go back in time and talk to my past self, I would say, "Don't you dare quit!"

I would go back to the moment that I gave up on my first website I ever started way back in 2007.

I had no idea what I was doing and I just wanted to get rich quick online.

I worked on the site for a few months and actually started to get a little traffic.

But, when I didn't get rich in 3 months, I got discouraged and just gave up on it and moved on to the next shiny object.

I didn't take it seriously, I wasn't persistent and consistent, I didn't work hard on it, and I had no patience at all.

And I still expected to magically have money just come raining down on me, despite the fact I did nothing to earn it.

There have been other times in my life I have done similar things, but you know what?

I'm tired of living with those types of regrets and we can't go back in time.

So, this time I'm going to earn it, I'm going to take it seriously, I'm going to be persistent and consistent, I'm going to work hard on it and I'm going to be patient and give myself time to succeed!

Every time I get a little down or discouraged, those words ring in my head.

"Don't you dare quit!"

Good morning Aaron,

I hope you're doing well.

I like your very wise words, these words are so true, "Don't You Dare Quit"!

Quitting shouldn't be an option for any of us, there's only one way and we have to keep pushing forward.

Reading your blog post Aaron reminds me of when I first started researching "Internet marketing" back in 2004. I saw the power of the Internet, but I was working blind, I didn't actually know where to start. It took me three years to get my first moneymaking website up and running! With Wealthy Affiliate, if you focus, you can probably be in the same place within three months rather than the three years it took me!

We are fortunate to have a platform that helps us every step of the way and other members that are ready to help each other!

I hear you absolutely massive time with your last three paragraphs, there is no other way but to keep moving forward!

Wishing you all the best and a great day.

Roy

Sorry for the late response. Thank you very much for taking the time to support, compliment and encourage me, Roy. I really appreciate it. I'm doing well, thank you for asking. I think we have all had some of these times in our lives. All we have is now and we must embrace it and move forward. I will not quit until I get there this time, no matter how long it takes. Again, I appreciate it. Hope all is well with you and yours and you are doing well with your biz too. Have a good night and a wonderful finish to your week! :)

I'm glad you're doing well Aaron, that's great news, we are here to support each other on this great platform!

I have an off-line business and an online business, I enjoyed them both. However, I do think with an online business it is much easier to get sidetracked and not be quite so focused as we would be with the traditional offline business.

It's great that you want to move forward. I think documenting our progress also helps and gives a certain amount of accountability when we go public.

All is well this end, thank you. Just one thing, my off-line business is really busy, I can't complain though. Although, in a way, it's holding me back from moving forward quicker with my online business. The good news is that I am making sales online, however, I know that the present sales can be multiplied many times over!

Have a great day.

Roy

Thank you very much, Roy! Glad your business is doing well and it sounds like you definitely have a lot to juggle. Good luck on getting all your ducks in a row and getting the success you want in both the online and offline world, my friend! Glad all is well and you are very welcome. You have a great Thursday! :)

Thank you, Aaron, I appreciate your encouragement.

Have a great day.

Roy

You are very welcome, Roy! No problem at all. Thank you and you have a great FriSatSu! :)

Hi Aaron, another awesome post. Thank you for the share. I can totally relate to this as I first joined WA back in Dec 2014 and quit in Jan 2015 after I was not making any money. Well, that was an error on my part. I came back to WA in Sept of 2018 and have no regrets, this is an awesome opportunity. One of my favorite songs is by Cher, "If I could turn back time". No, I have no intention of quitting.

All the very best, your friend,

Michael

Thank you very much, Michael! I appreciate the support and I'm happy you liked the post. You are very welcome. I think most of us have had these moments in our lives and since we can't turn back time we have to embrace the now and keep moving forward. That is a great song though. lol Glad to hear your in it for the long haul, my good friend. Have a great evening and an awesome Tuesday! :)

Wishing you an awesome Tuesday also :)

All the best, your friend,

Michael

Thank you very much, Michael! :)

Great post and I wonder how many have done what you did. It can get discouraging, but as Kyle has emphasized it requires work if you want to succeed. Sometimes it's worth switching to another niche, especially if the niche isn't the right one. Maybe it's not narrow enough or the niche is highly competitive and breaking through is really going to be hard. Giving up is not an option!!

Thank you very much, Elaine! I'm sure there are many thousands maybe even millions. You are exactly right. Course corrections are always necessary when you we are learning and growing. Just keep moving forward and never give up and you will get there. Neve give up, my good friend! And then you can look back a few years from now when you have made it and give yourself a big hug and thank you. lol Have a great week! :)

Lol..I did the same thing almost 20 years ago and I wasn't in it for the money at the time but had the site for a business I ran. I let it go in 3 months because I didn't need it or have time to add to it.

That person is still making money on it today...

Thank you very much for that story, Glenn! I think we all have had sites, great ideas, or opportunities that have slipped through our fingers. lol We just have to look ahead instead of backward and embrace the now because it's all we have. Keep learning, growing, and working hard and we'll get there! Have a good night and awesome Tuesday! :)

oh, it was my fault and I am much more talented and handsome now...lol.

It's good to be friends with a nice, talented and handsome fellow such as yourself, Glenn! :)

lmao...I know it has to be...ty so much...hahaha

lol. You are very welcome, Glenn. Have a great rest of your week, my friend! :)
