Why won't they fill out the profile
They Accept But Don't Fill Out The Profile...
So I've been getting invitations, but most do not fill out the profile....
Are they just kicking tires?
Is anyone else having this problem? I wake up in the morning and check my emails like I always do and there it is "invitation accepted!
I go to see who they are and NO PROFILE and no goals filled out. This has been reoccurring for me. I even say in my posts and messages "after joining the first thing you should do is fill out your profile so that other members in the community will get to know more about you and you can build your network "
How do I get them to follow instructions?
Honestly this is a big hurdle for me. Getting them to fill out a profile and then start their training seems to be non existent. I think when they join they are expecting something else. Which is weird because I explain everything to them in either the post or video I have on how to join Wealthy Affiliate.
Honestly, I just don't know what I should do about this. I have on my automatic message when they join the basic instructions of what to do next.
Is anyone else having the same problems and if so can you shed some light as to what I can do better so they fill out a profile and take more action?
I don't want to say it's a let down because I'm happy they joined, but it is a little disappointing to see so many referrals joining and not moving forward at least in the most basic ways.

Can't say I do. In truth, there are so very many things to learn and do here on WA, then in "real life", that it's not even on my radar. If people are serious, great, and if they're not, great. (I guess it's my long-ago Zen training? Lol.)
Sharks swim and bats fly, sweat it only if you must and you enjoy the experience, otherwise, fergetbout it, that's my tuppenny's worth anyway.

I have the same problem, but don't stress over it. If they really want to learn, I think they'll sign up.
I had two that did that too. No outside info to contact them. Oh well I made a dollar each 😂

I've had a few do that, like only 5 out of the last 27 completed set up. From banner clicks through solos they all enter through my capture page and most leave a phone number. So the ones that enroll I call, the rest get follow-up messages.
What one person was challenged with was he only had a phone and was attempting to get started on his phone. He said WA was the best he has seen and I asked him why not use your laptop or desktop. Then he explained his laptop was broken and so was he - broke and couldn't fix it.
It could be that a high number of people are using their phones instead of a laptop. I don't talk to all of the people that join but I leave enough VM's for sure so I don't know what device they are all using.

One of the biggest secrets I've found for conversions, and in fact, is something that Kyle teaches is "relevancy".
If you're writing the wrong reviews. For example: reviews on MLMs, 'Get Paid To' task sites, work from home jobs, etc, you'll have a hard time converting because those folks aren't interest in learning "affiliate marketing".
Yeah, some will still join as free starter members to see what WA is about. But if it's not their fit, they won't take action.
I'm still learning from my mistakes lol. Only 1 in the last 15 starter referrals has filled in their profile coz most referrals are from an "untargeted" review.
You can try all you want at rewording that content, repositioning your WA links, changing WA landing pages, etc, but it has little to no impact.
As for social media, I just find that people are time wasters. So I don't bother posting in groups and connecting with folks, etc.

People on Social Media sites are time wasters and That is probably the reason I am running into these issues.

Social media is likely the problem then. I found the same with PPC ads.
Most would click on the ads and never join. The very few who went premium just stuck around for a month and never took action lol.
That's why I stopped wasting money on PPC.

I have had this happen to me too. I have over 60 free starters but none have filled in their profile.
I am just wondering if these people are just Tyre kickers and do not really want to succeed online.

You are doing everything you can be doing so my advice is don’t stress about it. People like to be sold themselves. If they cannot see this platform for what it is then they are in the wrong place. I just think “good luck” finding something else as good as WA.
Again don’t worry Aaron. Just keep doing what you’re doing and get it in front of more and more people.
I was just wondering if they might have been solo ads. They are notorious for clicking on the link and then immediately navigating away.
You might try a series of personal emails rather than just relying on the automatic welcome.
do send emails out to people who fill out the subscriber form.
It's ok, from what I've noticed reading the comments is that it happens to everyone and I just got to keep doing what I'm doing.

As someone that just signed up, I didn't do the profile thing until after I had poked around on the website enough and understood the community was the real-deal.
It's kind of like walking into someone's house, at first you don't really feel that comfortable, don't know where anything is, and you're just sort of taking it all in. But then after you've been there a few hours or you come back a few times, you're able to relax and hang out, maybe grab something out of the fridge lol.
I like your analogy on coming into the program. You put it in a great perspective.
I have come to realize it is just the way it is and you made some valid points. Not everyone will jump head first into it.
I saw the value in the program right away and followed the prompts and soon joined, but that's me.
