On my way to the first job this morning and stopped at a regular parking spot to have a coffee as running a bit early.

This is Rhos on Sea, a town on the North wales Coast.

The coast of North Wales has been prone to flooding in the past and with climate change they are working now to hopefully avoid major flooding in the future.

It hasmade a major mess of promenade and terrible traffic issues during the summer but hopefully once done things can get back to normal.

Wishing a at WA a great day and restful weekend approaching.

Andy.

Hiya, 1jonuk1 Bore Da! Sut wyt ti ? I know Rhos-on-Sea very, very well. Happy memories of child and teen hood spent at the out-door swimming pool there. I have family who still live in Penrhyn Bay along the coast from your pictures they own The Bay Beach (you may know it) and my brother lives in Llandudno. I was born in Penmaenmawr, Dwygyfylchi to be precise so fully understand the scenery you have as your place of work - lucky, lucky man.
Can I ask what you do to be lucky enough to be travelling around North Wales for work?

Hi Sian, good to hear from a fellow North Waleon (if that’s a word)
I was born in Llay but have lived this way for the last 40 years or so.
I get to travel the area as I sell, install and clean carpets. I had expected to be able to retire when I hit 60 but life sometimes gets in the way of plans and financially I need to continue earning but living in such a lovely area makes it a lot easier.
I love Dwygyfyllchi, great views and I was actually up the Sychnant on the motorcycle last weekend.

Hey lucky you, I have loads of happy memories of walking up Sychnant even Ice skating, there used to be a small lake on the hills on the left looking over towards Morfa Conwy, I expect it has dried up now, I am talking the early 60's
It,s not much fun when your retirement plan goes tits up. We lost everything in the Crash of the 2008-2010. But I wouldn't be who I am today, loving the journey, if it hadn't happened. 🙏🤗

I live the other end of the country now. Shanklin Isle of Wight.

Thank you for the photos, it is great to see some coastline. I always did like the sea. Except when it is rough and I am on it, that is not so much fun.

Alex

Thanks Alex, much appreciated.

It sure is nice to take a look at the beautiful Coastal view from a far as well as up close. ;)

Thanks for the share, Andy.

Myra

Thank you Myra , appreciated. I am lucky to live and work close to both the coast and the mountains.

Wonderful to see your photos...thanks for the share!

west200, many thanks, appreciate.

Looks like a fantastic spot to have a quick coffee before the day begins Andy!

Have a great day and a wonderful weekend too my friend!

Thankyou Jessie , you too enjoy the weekend.

Much appreciated my friend!

Interesting project, Andy, please keep us advised of progress. I think this may be important to many living in the coastal areas.

Those of us who have never lived on a coast have no idea, making it would be an interesting project to follow.
Thanks for the share,
Sami

Thanks Sammy, I will, it is planned for another 6 months work but with winter coming on it will likely be extended, they also have to work with the tides.

Nice scenery, Andy! Well done!

Jeff

Thanks Jeff,
Tomorrow I am working in the opposite direction so into the mountains, will try and get photos but forecast is rain/mist so may struggle.

Those would be GREAT to see, Andrew!

Jeff
