Put Business First But Not All The Time - My Worst Day Ever.

Last Update: May 30, 2020

A Quick Post Today.

We all know there are times when we have to put our business first and rightly so but I just want to say that are also times when we need to put family first even if it's at the detriment of our business.

Yetserday was, as the title of my post says "my worst day ever".
My Dad was laid to rest with no chapel service, just 5 family members and a minister present and no funeral tea or get together afterwards.
We drove 1hr and 20 minutes to the cemetery, spent less than 10 minutes at the graveside and drove 1hr and 20 minutes back home.
Covid took my Dad and Covid denied him a proper funeral.

So my message today is:

Your business is a very important aspect of your life and you should dedicate whatever amount of time and effort it takes to be successful.

Your family are also a very important part of your life so always remember to give them the time, effort and dedication that they deserve as we never know when they may be taken from us.

Wishing you all a great and productive week ahead.

Andy

I am sorry for your lose :( and not being able to really be with family (having a time to visit with those who are still living at a time when support is important. The grieving process is something we must go through. IT helps to have caring people in WA comfort and console you during this time. I hope you are doing better.

Thanks Jeff, appreciated. Not only did I hit me in the pocket with loss of income but it took both Mum and Dad within a few short months.
My usual way of dealing with stress is to take time out on the motorcycle, just switch phone off and go ride for a day but I couldn't even do that.
Hopefully get back on rd soon though, bikers in England can ride but in Wales we are still not able too, another 2 weeks before next easing of restrictions.

Andy I am so sorry for your loss and that because of this horrible virus you could not give your farther s proper burial. My prayers to you and your family. Family is more important than any business. I just spent the day with my brother and sister-in-law whom I don’t get see much. I had a wonderful time. I make it an effort to cook for my two boys every week and I ride with one son to the other sons house and we have dinner. My kids are 17 and 19 and both single. But I think they love my cooking as much as they love me lol. I am a good cook. I always try to cook something at home that I can just take to my sons that we can heat back up so I don’t have spend my time there cooking. Last week we had chicken and dumplings. But I wouldn’t give up that one night a week for all the money in the world. Have a great day.

Thanks Regina, appreciated. You are so right about family being so important. I have now lost Mum and Dad to this virus within a few short months and it certainly brings spending time with family to the forefront.

Sorry that your Dad passed away. Even more sorry that it was because of Covid together with the sparse funeral arrangements.

Life is all about balance. No matter how important out business is, family comes first.

I wish you peace and serenity thinking about the good times you have had with your Dad.

I know it's tough. I can only imagine the pain you must feel, but I hope you find peace and solace. You're strong and you'll make it past this. May the memories you have of your dad be fuel and motivation for you to live as the best version of yourself.
