Hi,
My websites were previously hosted at Hostgator and I could use CP to forward one domain to another.
How do I do that here at Wealthy Affiliate?
Thanks,</
Thanks Guys,
I don't think I was very clear with my question,
I have already moved my nameservers to WA some time ago.
What I am trying to do is forward one of my websites domain to another domain, both are hosted here at WA.
So when someone types in one url it will redirect to another site of mine.
Apologies for not being clear in my question.
Andrew.
Ok I get what you're saying you just want the URL to point to your new one. If your domain is still on hostgator here are the instructions: https://support.hostgator.com/articles/cpanel/url-redirect-how-to-create
There are a couple of plugins that will help, one is called "Redirection" or "Quick Page/Post Redirect", the first being the newest.
Use a redirection plugin. There are several plugins out there. I use this one - easy to use. Be sure to use a 301 redirect.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/safe-redirect-manager/
Or you might be able to use Pretty Link - if you are already using that plugin. It is actually a redirection tool. I would probably try that first.

Left side of page click websites, when the box pops up click on domains manager. scroll down there is a box to transfer domains to WA
Do you want to forward the domain, or actually move the domain to WA? Rather than forward my old domain, I moved it from godaddy to WA. The process was simple.
Go to your site manager and there is a spot to move a domain to WA. You will need to go to hostgator and go into your domain manager and request to move your domain. They will provide an authorization code that you will copy and paste in your WA site. This allows WA to take over managing your domain. The process takes a few days to go through but it is all on their end.
I hope this helps. You can forward the domain but I think this is the better option. This way everything is in one easy to manage place.
I also agree with Simon that it is probably better to completely transfer your domain to wealthy affiliate rather than just pointing your name servers to WA.
If I understand your question you're wanting to point domains at Wealthy Affiliate correct? If so these are the correct name servers:
Primary:ns1.mywahosting.com
Secondary:ns2.mywahosting.com
If you go to websites->site domains it will tell you how to transfer your sites o here or away.

Hi,
I am moving house but cannot find a way to update my new address.
Thanks for help,
Andrew
How have you been Andrew?
Not heard from you for a while, I hope the health is back to normal?
Wayne
I don't thin that's necessary. We don't give our physical address here in WA, as far as I could recall. We are recognised by the email address we associate our account with WA.
Hope that solve it.
:)
Joe
I agree with Jerryb2 that you should contact site support, because I looked and could not find where to change the address. Follow their instructions; SITE RUBIX, SITE MANAGER, UPPER RIGHT CORNER CLICK SITE SUPPORT & EMAIL THEM.
It's saved automatically in Billing details if you pay from a credit card monthly. But one can easily change it manually in Account Settings.:)
The only place you need it, is your credit card settings if you pay monthly. Go to Account Settings and there you will see Billing details. When you pay next time, you will change it manually.
Just in case- you go to Account Settings clicking on your avatar picture on the upper bar of your account.:)
Sorry forgot one step after clicking on Ruunix then click site manager. Then upper right corner site support.
Click on Rubix and upper right corner click on site help. They respond very quickly. Good luck hope this helps.

I am currently working through Affiliate Bootcamp and am at the stage of editing the 3 welcome messages to my new referrals.
If I edit these messages to make them person
When I signed up I got messages from both Kyle and Gary. What did you get? That should answer your question.
Grant
Thanks Grant, appreciate your comment.
I found WA directly and not through an affiliate so I only got welcome messages from Kyle and Carson.
Andrew.
No because they need to hear that personal just from you. I remember when I joined how much it meant to me to personally hear from the person who I signed up with. It just adds a "homey" touch.
Tried and true
Elaine
Thanks for input Theresa, you are correct , our own messages do not cancel out or override Kyle and Carsons Welcome messages.
No ,u do not think so you send what you send ,I don't believe there will be any interference ,but you can try second opinion,, I would suggest thst,I'm still new at this , have fun putting in content too, remember I found buyer niches are better, and good reviews, I get a lot from Brendan Mace, he gives great tips. See you later, friend
All your new referrals will get a message from Kyle and/or Carson too, next to your own personal message
Thanks Loes, appreciate your very prompt reply and glad to hear that my personal message won't overide Kyle/Carsons.
No, it doesn't, and when you want some inspiration, just scroll down any profile to see what others are writing. I just re-wrote my message, here you can read it

Thank you, much appreciated and love the message, will take some time on designing mine today.

I know that some years ago having your keyword in the domain name of your site was very advantageous to your SEO reankings.
Is this still the case?
For example if
If I have well understood the course, ranking articles with good kw is more important... Not sure but that's what I understand ...
I would vote for a short and brandable name. The real challenge is to find such these days, but if you do it - it would be like a nugget in your hands:) Just like the one you have sold - short and brandable.
Thank you Harizan, appreciate your reply and am sure you are correct in your comment.
Andrew.
You are welcome!
This was the approach I used for my 2 websites, as well.
Wish you fruitful research in Jaaxy:)
The main reason I was pondering this was that many years ago when I first put up a website for an offline business I was lucky enough to get the domain carpetfitter.co.uk ( sold on for a nice big profit years later) and it made an immediate massive improvement in my ranking.
I know Google updates change things around a lot and I guess now they don't put as much credit on the domain url as previously.
Thanks Wayne for reply, I had read it doesn't have a lot of influence any more but wasn't sure.
I believe it’s your keywords in your website name. I am in that dilemma for my personal niche website. I think a keyword in the tag line can aid in the discoverability of a website.
The pressure is when you have ideas that translate into writing articles, that you do keyword research for our articles but other requirements are too tiring to accomplish. Then the forgotten details hold us back.
A detailed view slowly is best. Ensure an attention grabbing website name, keyword in tag line and constantly writing quality consistently also.
I am not sure it makes any difference as each of your keywords for each post or article will be different anyway.
With Grace and Gratitude
Karen
I guess. I own Tutors.Agency Profiles.Agency & Datas.Agency. At least having the keywords makes you feel good.

Could anyone point me in the direction of a list of restrictions on Premium members please.
I know the following:
Only 1 WA post per day - for first 3 months
<
Yet another question to follow you: learn the answers to questions that I won't get to for at least another month or two...
Thanks, Andrew!
Tim
I think the restriction of 1 blog a day is only for the first month as a premium member and after that it's a maximum of 3 blogs a day.
Training can be published after 3 months as a premium member and it's restricted to 1 a day.
Thanks Marion, appreciate your input, I have been here 7 weeks as Premium but only allowed one WA blog per day. I wrote a post yesterday and got the message “ only one blog per day” as I had posted a post earlier that morning.
Hey Andrew,
The following screen print will help you find those tutorials offering you the advice you seek. Check out the screen print below...
Hope this helps you.
Here's another "rule": Don't click on "View Image" -- it takes you away from WA!
Just another technique to file and (try to) remember...
Tim
I just clicked on the image I attached and all I get is a pop out window which once closed, I'm still here Tim ... so ... you confuse me with your comment.
It may have to do with the operating system, and version thereof... My experience was that the image opened, then when I closed it, WA was gone, too!
Huh! Good to know ... OS are sooooo varied nowadays that I would not be a very happy software creator ... lol!
Thanks for comment, it would be good to know.
I feel I have a lot to give/share in WA internal posts and training so itching for 3 months to pass.
Thanks Rufat, appreciate your input, I do realise spamming, promoting not allowed , I’m thinking more of what functions within WA are restricted to new premium members and for how long.
Thanks again , I really appreciate reply.
Andrew.
